We booked for Sunday evening . We were welcomed on arrival , served drinks in the bar & menu & specials explained to us . Lovely Restauarant , not busy but very cosy & well decorated . Food all of a high standard . The sticky toffee pudding was the best I've ever tasted . Reasonably priced meal . The... More

Been here several times for Sunday carvery, very good valve for money and always busy. This is also one of the best pubs I've had a pint in Galloway, the cracks always geed especially on a Sunday sesh when the pub proprietor quite often joints the punters on the other side of the bar. Good food and good crack what... More

14 of us ate here on Hogmanay. Service was good, but vegetarian options were limited and a bit unexciting. When we tried to order wine from the wine list, there were several where they only had one bottle left.

Stayed here recently during my Trip to England and Scotland, This B&B is excellent and there are 4 rooms, We booked 3 rooms on the 12th and i got the room with the ensuite bathroom and it was spotlessly clean. It was small but had all the neccesary requirements.... They even had a DVD corner where i just lazed around... More

Was taken here for my birthday and the carvery was excellent. I chose the gammon and pork, my friend the beef and another friend the lamb and chicken. Cooked to perfection the meat melted in your mouth. There was a choice of about six different veg, from the usual carrots, cauli cheese, turnip (swede) and french beans to mushrooms and... More

We spent a couple of night here, and it was spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. There are only four rooms, and it's about a mile to walk to Wigtown (but take a torch - it's a very dark road). My only criticism would be the breakfast arrangements - you choose from a tick list when you first... More

We stayed here in June and spent a perfect 24hours. The welcome was was sincere and we were shown to a small but perfect bedroom, clean and comfortable. After a large and well filled sandwich we visited the Bladnoch distillery just across the road and tasted the 'amber liquid' and after a good walk on the near by coast we... More

I booked in the Inn whilst visiting Wigtown. The quality of the room I was in was superb - very comfortable and very clean. Purely as a B&B it's excellent. The added benefits are it's location near a distillery which is good to explore, convenience for Wigtown, the excellent food in the bar (go for the menu - the daily... More

I was caught out on a journey towards Scotland and found it was too late to drive back home, I was pointed in the direction of this public house/guest house. It is always a gamble going to stay somewhere you do not know....within two minutes I was made to feel at home, great conversation with the staff, I ordered food... More
