A fabulous fabulous B&B with lovely history behind it - incredible setting - lovely friendly couple running it. Very central in Newton Stewart which itself is so lovely. We just loved it and hope to go again. more

Just returned from our second stay at Steve and Sheila's and it is still one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. Warm comfortable room overlooking the wier of the river Cree. Lots to do walking, fishing, shooting, biking and golf, some of the nicest scenery in Scotland Great hospitality from the hosts and a superb breakfast . In a recent... more

I was warmly welcomed into Sheila and Steves home, and from the moment I stepped through the front door was offered first class hospitality. Both Sheila and Steve have a genuine interest in people and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and provide valuable sightseeing information in particular with regard to finding red squirrels and scenic... more

We stayed at Villa Cree in August and arrived after a long journey to a very friendly welcome. Sheila greeted us with a pot of tea and a plate of biscuits so we could unwind. We had with us our 6 year old son, and both Sheila and Steve went 'the extra mile' to make him welcome, which included buying... more

What a place….. We stayed with Sheila and Steve for 3 nights in July and simply did not want to leave. It was all beautifully presented and clean and we both slept like logs. Sheila’s breakfast is just the very best, those sausages are just the tastiest ever, my husband thought the black pudding and haggis magnificent. Both Steve and... more

Myself and a couple of friends stumbled across Villa Cree whilst searching for somewhere to stay during the British Open. Everyone else wanted silly money. The rates here seemed too good to be true and our expectations weren't too high! It turned out to be fantastic in every respect. We got a warm welcome despite arriving 5 hours early! The... more

We were made to feel so welcome in this lovely clean home. Not all the bedrooms were ensuite but it did not cause any inconvenience. The breakfast was great for vegetarians (me) and meat eaters (hubby). We spent all weekend wishing we had brought friends to see the beautiful countryside and enjoy the fishing. We will be returning. more

I have been to Villa Cree four times since 2008 and each time wish I could stay longer. The house is delightful and the hosts are likewise. Sheila makes you at home immediately and Steve cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The Villa Cree is near the town of Newton Stewart, where there are plenty of eating places... more
