My wife and I stayed the night in the Teviot bedroom last night on a one night visit to Kelso. The owner Jeff had texted us details of entry to the house and the bedroom, very clear and easy instructions. As we had arrived late in the afternoon when it was very cold outside it was a delight to open... More

I have visited Kelso a number of times and prefer to stay in a bed and breakfast as opposed to a hotel. Wherever I have stayed I have been welcomed by a friendly host and made to feel at home! Duncan house is the same and more! The friendliness of Jeff and his staff is second to none as is... More

We booked based on previous comments , maybe we expected too much from our visit. I think you need to be a fisherman to get this b&b, as that's the main and only guest conversation .Room had a view and the full breakfast was satisfactory. I'll try somewhere else next time to make a comparison.

Duncan House is a lovely Georgian house B & B in Kelso in the Scottish Borders. It is conveniently located approximately a couple of hundred yards from the town square and a choice of pubs and restaurants. The house is comfortably furnished in a style appropriate to the age of the house; the staff are friendly and attentive; the breakfast,... More

We stayed for two nights & being in couples we took all 5 rooms. It was a fantastic place to stay. So much attention to detail given by Jeff & his staff. Amazing breakfasts - porridge followed by kippers. Bottled water in the rooms, proper toiletries provided, bowls of toffees all over the place. Nothing was too much trouble &... More

The Teviot bathroom is the next one scheduled for refurbishment since the complete rebuild 12 years ago. We recognise the problem with the free standing bath and replaced one a couple of years back. It is difficult to introduce a step without intorducing a hazard. More

Came here as family funeral nearby. Had a spacious comfy room with a lovey view over the Tweed and Floors castle. Off the road so quiet. Sitting room downstairs, cosy and elegant combined with little friendly touches (a secret till you get here.) . Super breakfast. When we decided to stay another night the following afternoon, we luckily could get... More

Came with a few members of our family once last year and this year, and both times have been great. Breakfasts are always delicious and cooked to order and the house is comfortable to be in. The rooms are also very good, and will definitely be returning here again.

This is a lovely place to stay, elegant and comfortable. Jeff, the owner, wasn't able to be there when we arrived but he texted well ahead of time with full details of how to access the outside key - which we had already had online. They worked! Our key was waiting inside and our room was warm, comfortable and had... More
