Stayed at Ednam house in August, from the minute we pulled up in the car we loved it! Booked direct with the Hotel, and the booking and checking in was just easy, greeted with a lovely smile, we were then showed around this beautiful old graceful Hotel. Arrived in our room which is traditional perfection, its not modern so if... More

We were very pleased to get a special deal, but would not have been happy to stay in our very dated room for the full price - stained bath and paint on the windows was peeling off. However the period house is in a wonderful location close to the centre of town and overlooking the river. It has beautiful rooms... More

Just called in while passing through Kelso, this hotel was recommended by tourist information and members of the public. We enjoyed the service and the enthusiasm of the staff who where very friendly and kind. The food in the hotel was excellent.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst working in the area. Had to move room as I had only originally booked for 1 night. First room was small but with lovely view over the garden and river Tweed. Second night was at the other end of the building, much bigger better room but no view. Both rooms had old but functionable facilities,... More

I have just spent two days at the Ednam hotel in the Orangery to celebrate our friends wedding anniversary the hotel and our accommodation looked absolutely stunning lovely gardens over looking the river, the hotel has just been taken over, the previous owner clearly had not spent any money on the hotel for some time as it was very dark and... Had overnight stay at Ednam using discount voucher, didn't expect a great room but No.44 , although clean and well equipped, turned into a nightmare. Walls so thin we could hear neighbours talking and snoring most of the night. The room is over a function room and staff started about 10pm dragging tables and chairs around for next day's wedding,... More

Chose it from random and so pleased I did. Easy, ample parking, Only a few hundred yards from the centre of the town and beautiful situation on the river bank. Not a modern or stylish hotel- but I didn't expect it to be. Room was comfortable and quiet. No rooms with a river view were available so took a courtyard room... More

This hotel has the potential to be very special and has many things in it's favour. However it has apparently recently been purchased from the family that owned it for many years previously and the one thing that screams out from a visit this week is that there is no one currently in overall charge. It has good facilities, an... More
