We had booked this guest house for our tour of Scotland and it is the only one that has disappointed. The welcome compared with everywhere else was half hearted and could not be called welcoming. Our room was large with staggering views but seemed clinical and lacking any character. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was OK. We went out... More

Stayed here for one night while hiking in Glencoe and kayaking on Loch Leven. Check in was quick and the owner was quite helpful in getting us situated and also making us reservations for dinner at Holly Tree Restaurant not far from the property. It's a family-run establishment and everyone was extremely friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom... More

After a long day out on the hills, we arrived in Fort William at 11pm. Travel Lodge quoted us some ridiculous price to stay at the last minute which we laughed at and walked away. Found this little gem at 11pm, the lady on the phone said her Dad would wait up for us to arrive. When we arrived he... More

Very comfortable facilities, great breakfast with home made porridge, fresh fruit (not tinned) plus a cooked option too. Alison was extremely helpful and made extra strong coffee, in the same way that all the staff we dealt with were kind and considerate. Would like to come back and sample some of the HUGE array of Malt whiskeys in the comfortable... More

Stayed here for three nights recently, and had a nice visit. Check in is at 4. Don't arrive at 3:00 in the rain thinking you are getting in. Drive on up to the Glencoe Visitor center or to the grocery store in Ballachullish and kill an hour. After the door is unlocked at 4, check-in is quick and pleasant. The... More

We stayed for one night, 2 comfortable bedrooms (weak pillows though, very flat). Toiletries are very basic. Wonderful lounge with log fire, books, magazines, and very comfortable seating. Had dinner at a fabulous seafood restaurant 10 minutes drive away, along the Loch. Breakfast is good but most of it is not homemade, the pastries you can get in any supermarket.... More

A reasonable hotel in a good location beside the main road north. No evening food available though so you will need to go out to eat or bring a picnic. Rooms nice and big with great bathrooms and showers. Would be happy to stay here again.

As with other reviews - nothing wrong with the place - but nothing special either - having stayed in the area many times we take the beautiful views as a given, it is one of the reasons you go there. Do not arrive before 4pm and do not expect a lie in - breakfast is 8am-9am. This is not clear... More

We stayed last week and had a lovely night - Mrs Ironmonger (fabulous name) was courteous, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Nice room, good beds and delicious breakfast - much better than our subsequent £300+ per night hotel. We would most likely stay again. A lodge of character with open log fires. LOVELY
