Having stayed at this hotel when it was owned by 'Freedom of the Glen,' I decided to book back in recently. They've been taken over by a group who seem to enjoy buying hotels en masse and not spending the time updating/repairing them. Hence the reason why the hotel is now a 3* and not a 4* as it would... more

Nice location on the shore of Loch Leven between Glencoe and the Ballachulish bridge. The hotel was very clean and well maintained throughout. The room was larger than average at this budget, as was the immaculate bathroom, both containing everything you would expect and nothing you wouldn't. Having an exterior door opening into the hotel garden leading to the Loch... more

Hotel at the end of Glencoe, about 15 minutes drive from Fort William. Staff very nice and very friendly. The food was very good and there was a good choice available. Bar prices very reasonable - the same or less than I would pay in a pub in Glasgow. Room big enough with 2 windows overlooking the loch and mountains.... more

I have stayed at this hotel twice and love it! I love the drive up, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are great with beautiful views over the loch, the meals are beautiful as are the breakfast (amazing black pudding!) The guy that does the entertainment is very good. I love relaxing in the pool after a... more

Unlike some others we had a great room, nice views and the dinner/breakfast was good. Bathroom had a little damage and decor was a bit tired, but nothing to complain about. Staff were all very helpful. A great place to rest for the night if travelling onwards. more

Don't book this hotel - Scotland surely has more to offer than this???We booked a last minute 2 night DBB break at this hotel which had been recommended by family and friends but they had stayed several years ago...Talk about being disappointed. Never again. Our room overlooked the car park and was really small - nothing like the website photo.... more

My husband and i and our best friends have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel and we were very dubious because of some of the reports on trip advisor. I had phoned ahead and spoke to to the head receptionist because i have many food allergys and i was told it wouldnt be a problem. On... more

Having read the other reviews I was concerned that I had booked this hotel for our Easter Break away. I even considered cancelling and looking for another hotel in the area. I am now glad that I did not.....The hotel was built, I think in the 80's and is not "tired" as one review said. We stayed in a family... more

The conservatory area for dining was first class with tremendous views up Loch Leven to the... more
