Fantastic views of Loch Leven and the mountains beyond, but not from every room. Some face the mountains only. Nice grounds. The room itself is spacious, double bed is huge and comfortable. Bathroom needing some re-furbishment. Strong unpleasant smell from bathroom. Chargeable wifi. Leisure pool very tired, sauna ok, no steam room, limited changing facilities. Breakfast is satisfactory, food hot,... more

Not many places to choose from in the location and maybe that's some of the problem - not enough competition? Reception was fine and we were really pleased with the view from our room over the loch. The room was clean enough but average in decor and furniture. There were parties of school children staying which made the dining room... more

I've stayed at the Isles several times over the past year and always had a great stay (and penned reviews reflecting this). However my recent experience suggests a bit of a downturn. Great location. Room good - except for cleanliness, bathroom floor dirty in all corners, debris from prev occupants on bedroom floor. First time we'd stayed in a 'Family... more

It dismays me when I read some of the really petty comments that people leave so unfairly. We had a wonderful 2 day stay, great room, stunning views and very friendly staff. I have no complaints to make about this hotel and would stay again in a heartbeat. Try to get a groundfloor room with a loch view. more

The location and views were outstanding, the room generous but the bathroom coulfd have been cleaner. Dinner was very much overpriced for an average quality meal and the breakfast buffet had run out of cold fruit options on both days. The location deserves a better hotel if its price is to be justified. £195 for 2 nights B and B... more

We booked a family room for a long weekend, the hotel was nice, clean and well run. The evening meal in the hotel was a bit naff, but the breakfast was very nice indeed. The scenery is exceptional, the local pub in Ballachulish does very good food and there is a nice atmosphere about the place. The swimming pool is... more

Basic room but with spectacular views. Very nice leisure facilities, particularly enjoyed them after a long day in the Glencoe mountains. I got a very good deal, 2 nights - £138 for 2 b+b with a three course meal on the second night, was concerned about the meal after reading negative reviews but thought it was excellent. Lovely food and... more

We booked this as a stop over on our way back from Skye. After reading the reviews we were a bit worried but figured it was just somewhere to sleep. We paid £49 (room only) via late rooms and it was worth that. I can however see why people who paid more have come away disappointed as we didn’t think... more

Was a little worried about going to this hotel as had some negative reviews but we had a fantastic relaxing weekend. Service was good, didn't recieve the wine and chocolates included in deal on arrival, had to phone and ask for them, but they arrived up within 10 minutes with apology, We were advised to book our evening meal meal... more

This hotel was the most disappointing experience for a long time. We probably expected too much as this had been recommended by a friend ( obviously with poor taste). We paid £95 per night for 2 nights ( apparently half price - I would be amazed if people paid the full rate for this place. Room - was full of... more
