We stayed for two nights as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time at the hotel. The price was incredibly reasonable and the room was fantastic - lovely solid furniture, huge bathroom with Jacuzzi and overlooking the loc. The staff made every effort for us and were invredibly accommodating and friendly and we ended up eating in the... more

If arriving from a certain directions no signs to get to hotel; not greeted at front desk; lost reservation; room was "tired" and door would barely stay shut it was so out of whack; inferior room with no heat (they had to bring up a portable heater); restaurant experience was terrible; ended up charging me for the lost reservation; surely... more

We stayed two nights for my cousin's wedding and couldn't fault this place at all. Got it for a very good price and felt we got great value. Lovely old fashioned hotel, a bit creaky and frayed but very charming. Really good food throughout the stay - I wanted to try the Loch Fyne kippers and poached smoked haddock for... more

My son held his wedding in this wonderful baronial style hotel. Oldy world but still a fantastic place to stay both on holiday or for a wedding. Wedding arrangements were PERFECTION and the buffet reception would have put the Savoy Hotel in London to shame (and yes I have stayed there too!) The beds were sooo comfortable, the bathrooms huge.... more

My parents stayed at this hotel 25 years ago for the honeymoon and decided to book the hotel for their wedding anniversary and a 50th birthday. We met my parents in the middle of their stay as a surprise and stayed there for three nights to explore the local area. The setting and location of this hotel is amazing, it... more

The hotel rooms are fairly basic. Ours was quite small, but warm (too warm), clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean, but didn't have a bath, which was a bit disappointing. We had no view, and I think we were over the kitchens, so it could be a bit noisy. The bar has a open fire and is... more

My wife and I decided to go up north for a few days to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had booked 3 nights at the Lovat Arms Hotel, Fort Augustus but we decided to have an additional night beforehand. My daughter looked on the internet and she found the Ballachullish Hotel which looked lovely. She telephoned the booking telephone... more

We stayed for 2 nights in a Loch View room. The view was spectacular if you could see it through the filthy windows. Sash cords were broken so couldn't open them. The hotel is jaded, furnishings dilapidated and cleanliness is obviously NOT a priority. the waste bin in our bathroom looked as though someone had vomited in it and it... more

The scenery by the hotel is amazing and very beautiful. However, the hotel is in need of updating as some of the wallpaper is peeling off and there are water stains on the ceiling. The food is average, not very appealing and the drinks are expensive for a 3star hotel. The staff on the whole are pleasant but we felt... more

After a beautiful drive up along Loch Lomond and through the stunning Glencoe, we arrived to a warm welcome at the Ballachulish hotel. We checked in to our room which had wonderful view across the loch and a cosy atmosphere. It's a beautiful location and we enjoyed local walks and a round of golf on the golf course next door.... more
