The Beckford Arms was booked for me by my employers as I was attending a course in Salisbury District General. I just needed a place to sleep, what a got was a fabulously English country pub with an immaculately clean, cosy room. I arrived quite late, tired and hungry, so was very grateful for the warm welcome, yummy food amazing... More

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! The staff, the atmosphere, the food. The Sausage Roll on the bar! The Steaks. Everything. It's not twee, it's comfortable. Relaxing. Very special. Excellent all round!!This is a lesson on how a smart, country inn should be. All the places I have rubbished should call in here and learn something.

We stayed at the Beckford Arms for one night recently, arriving at about 3pm via a trip to Stonehenge. As soon as we stepped through the door, the staff could not have been more friendly. I loved the place instantly as it was gorgeous, with a relaxed vibe. We had a little wander around, enjoyed a drink in the beautiful... More

The Beckford Arms is simply wonderful. Very enjoyable, pleasant & friendly place. Tucked away near Tisbury it is great for walking and getting fresh air. They have thought of almost everything, including their own soaps and bath products, home made & even for sale. Only odd thing is no Wardrobe although there are a few hangers on the wall. The... We have stayed at the Beckford a few times as we have family in the area and knew it before the current owners took it over. What a special place they have made it and as an expat I often think of it when I am feeling a little homesick for the best of the English countryside. The staff are... More

I can only review the food as unfortunately we were staying elsewhere. When we return to the area we will definately stay here. Staff attentive, decor traditional with modern elements, very comfortable and best of all the food is as good as many 5 star restaurants.

From the moment we stepped through the door to our departure we met the most friendly and happy staff. Everything, and more, was provided to make our stay sublime. We stayed in the Attic room which was lovely. The food was scrumptious. Our only regret was that we were only there for one night!

we stayed in room 4 which Is advertised is a small double but I was pleasantly surprised as I've stayed in smaller rooms and paid more! The bathroom is very big, the products in the bathroom smell gorgeous. They are on my Christmas list! The decor is very stylish. Lots of lovely touches including soft music playing in the room... We have just returned from a one night stay at the Beckford Arms, and I really cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are very attentive, the food is probably the best "pub" food we have had in a very long time, and it would not disgrace a 5-star restaurant. The ambience is vey good, the rural setting superb, and... More

We have just returned from a night away at the Beckford Arms, it was truly wonderful. It's so nice to stay somewhere that has thought of everything, all the finishing touches made it really special. On check we were taken to our room, the radio was on playing classical music and the window open and fresh water in a glass... More
