I stayed at the Beckford Arms for two night this past weekend for a friend's wedding and it was absolutely brilliant. Rooms: I stayed in Room 8 (the Attic); the room has 2 double beds, a lovely bathroom and a small sitting room. The rooms are beautifully kept and the little touches like tea, coffee and fresh milk in the... More

Stayed for a night in Room 5 after a busy day at Longleat. Brilliant location for the surrounding area, lovely room, the right size for a night away with lovely furnishings. Brilliant stock of the essentials for tea making as well as a bar of chocolate, much appreciated as a pre dinner snack. Dinner was fabulous, as were pre dinner... More

Fabulous rooms, great staff, outstanding food - all in a delightfully picturesque setting. Five stars across the board. Nothing was too much trouble, and we had a fantastic stay. Look forward to the next one already...

I stayed in the Beckford Arms this summer with my two small boys, while touring the countryside and seeing family. We stayed in Rooms 1 and 2 - adjoining - which meant we had enough privacy and enough contact. The rooms were delightful. Simple, super-clean, warm, welcoming and with an easy charm which was instantly appealing. OK, not the biggest,... More

We stayed here last night for a surprise birthday party for a friend (16 of us in all) what a delightful venue - the rooms are lovely, the beds comfortable and every possible item you might need is stocked in each room along with a fab selection of lotions and potions in the bathroom. We were in room 5 with... More

What a great pub. We stayed for two nights and had a thoroughly relaxing time. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Breakfast was outstanding. Our only slight moan was that our room (No 1) was a little noisy (mostly owing to the couple next door being at it like rabbits for most of the night). However... More

We are fairly local, so a trip out in the car , with our dog is always pleasant. We love the relaxed, but professional feel of the Beckford; that's why it it our choice to take friends: or just by ourselves. Either in the garden, or in the pub, it' always interesting with the right atmosphere. Yes! It doe's get... More

We stayed at the beck ford arms to celebrate various 40 th birthdays. We stayed in a small double which was absolutely fine for the 2 night stay. The staff were extremely friendly and Accommodating and nothing seemed too much trouble for our large party. Food also very good

Sadly we only spent one night in this wonderful hotel and restaurant. The premises are superb, both inside and outside, the rooms are a bit small but lovely. We had a creative and tasty meal at night, and the young staff even helped us pack lunch the day after. We would love to come back for a longer stay.
