This was a great visit to a beautiful cottage. I was working out of the archive in Chippenham, and this seemed like a great alternative to being further out. It is located just a short walk from Lacock, a beautiful little village. Dilly (the hostess) is very friendly and made the absolute best eggs on toast I've ever had. Lola... More

Me, my wife and our friends recently spent the night at the Damson Cottage on our first trip to the area. Before arriving, I contact Dilly (the owner) to organise some local produce to be in the rooms we had booked as a surprise. When we arrived, we were greeting warmly and shown to our rooms where the bits and... More

Went to a wedding nearby and needed a place to stay for the night. Was very pleasantly surprised with what we found at Damson Cottage! The owner is very charming and friendly, and went out of her way to accommodate our early arrival for the wedding. The room was very comfortable, however the bathroom could maybe do with some updating... More

Stayed for 2 nights with pal for annual weekend away. Twin room was very comfortable. Dilly was most charming hostess and Lola the sausage dog a delight. This house is picture perfect as is the surrounding area and countryside. I cannot recommend it highly enough - nor the Bell Inn at Bowden.

We stayed overnight and we're both really glad we chose the lovely Damson Cottage. It's got bags of charm, as does Lacock itself. Dilly made us feel really at home, called to find out our bus timetable, lent us wellies and was overall really nice as is her husband James. Our room was spotless and had everything we could need.... More

Booked in for three nights. A warm & friendly greeting by Dilley & Lola. Lola, much to the excitement of my 12yr old daughter, is a sausage dog! Moved into our rooms, all fresh & clean. Bed very comfortable, & facilities as described. Lacock, Bath & surrounding areas all lovely. A great choice for breakfast, very well cooked & presented.... More

We only stayed one night but so enjoyed Damson Cottage and the town of Lacock. Dilly was kind enough to drop us in town as my mother was too tired and cold to walk the ten minutes or so into town. I so wanted to walk as the scenery was beautiful and peaceful but thank you Dilly for being there.... More

We stayed for 2 nights with a discounted stay on the second night which made this a really great value short break. The owner Dilly was extremely welcoming and made us feel very at home. The location is very convenient for Lacock, being a 10 to 15 minute walk along a Tarmac path across a field. It was nice to... More
