Booked because of location and trip advisors' recent reviews. Three nights B&B in a side view room. We arrived at around 5pm - no receptionist, but someone else booked us in and got another member of staff to take us to the room (when we got home there was a message on the answerphone from the hotel at around 9pm... We stayed 3 nights at Millers on an offer, which was very good value for money, including a free bottle of wine with an evening meal and a complimentary cream tea. The hotel is jammed packed with antiquities ( not everyones cup of tea) which was very quirky. The room we stayed in ( number 5) had an amazing view... More

A great location, this hotel is one of a few run by the Martin Miller estate. Martin was an antique collector, entrepreneur and hotelier, and the hotel has his unique touch. Beautifully decorated, excellent service and quality food. Treat yourself to a Miller Gin & tonic while watching the waves roll in - fabulous.

Recently spent 3 nights at Millers. The hotel is something a bit special. It is an old property with lots of character located right by the sea with a very good pub next door. The owner and her staff were all very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable with a great view of the harbour. The only downside was a... More

we have just returned from 2 nights at Millers. Porlock Weir is a small fishing village with several hotels, a pub and small craft and coffee shops, making a great place to just relax, enjoy the scenery and watch the world go by (tho it doesn't get very crowded here). Millers is right on the harbour and is full of... More

we only had dinner here. We would return as the food was marvellous. A lot of staff with English as a second language. We struggled to get any service and then were blamed when we didn't get what we asked for. However, view, location and food made up for it. Such a shame as it tainted what could have been... More

Having just returned from a 3 night stay at this charming hotel, I can honestly say it is a place with a difference. Although the décor is slightly tainted, this adds to the character of the hotel. Every nook and cranny is filled with antiques and memorabilia. We stayed in Room 12 which had a view to die for. To... More

We have just returned from spending a two night break in this warm and friendly hotel. It is full of antiques, and felt like we have stayed with friends in their amazing home. My husband and I were enchanted, and will back! Loved Porlock Weir a charming little fishing village, amid a wonderous coastline.

Very nice Hotel in a tranquil setting. Just what the Doctor ordered to recharge the batteries. The location really is a little piece of heaven. All the staff at The Anchor were extremely polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Everything about the Hotel takes you back to another time. For over 200 years the Anchor has served Porlock Weir's 15th-century harbor for sailors, walkers and huntsmen alike. Where Exmoor meets the sea, Porlock Weir is an idyllic working harbor with stunning coastal views. Martin Miller together with his daughter Tanya have created a hunting lodge by the sea. This 14-bedroom hotel is crammed with Martin's antiques and curiosities. The Anchor has all the hallmarks of his unique style. Roaring log fires, candlelit sensuality, books by the thousand and bowls of fruit and sweets, all washed down with a Millers award winning Gin and tonic. ... more   less
