My wife and I have stayed at this lovely farmhouse B & B on numerous occasions and the reasons for going back time and time again are numerous. Your charming and friendly hosts Edward and Mary are very welcoming and great characters to boot . The setting is absolutely divine and it is the area where Victorian Farm was filmed.... More

Thank you for your feedback, it is always a pleasure to welcome returning visitors, and is rewarding when people appreciate the fifteenth century Farmhouse, working farm and beautiful countryside that we live in. We always enjoy your company and are looking forward to your return in October More

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It's a very old style farmhouse built in the 1500s. If you're looking for a modern place to stay, this isn't for you. If you like old buildings with creaky floors in a rural setting then you'll love this place. Edward and Mary were great hosts and very knowledgeable... More

We stayed at this b&b for one night which was long enough, when we arrived the bedroom smelt musty & dirty. I know its an old house but the bedroom could still have had a decent carpet & furniture, the bed was so hard my husband & myself had to turn the mattress over & use the blankets (yes they... More

The opinions expressed in this vicious and damaging review are not shared by others guests who have stayed here in the past. Many are delighted with the accommodation and return again for further visits. However all comments are taken seriously and noted as it is always our intention to provide our guests with a good experience during their stay. As... More

After a couple of days,& not having received confirmation of the booking,my husband rang them.He was told they no longer take dogs, yes they had received our booking enquiry but as they no longer take dogs they hadn't replied! This was only 6 days before we wanted... It is NOT possible to make an on line booking, as I only do availability so it could have only been an enquiry and I should have replied, but it was at a busy time lambing on a working farm, (as it was so close to the intended stay it may have been a good idea to telephone to check).... More

If you're seeking guest accommodation with fluffy white towels, immaculate furnishings, wifi and total luxury, Acton Scott Farm will surely disappoint. Don't even think about booking because this isn't the place for you. But if you are yearning to stay on a genuine working farm, in a house that feels as though it might have been a stage set for... I was only looking for quite place to sleep between business meetings but found a real jewel here. Lovely authentic working farm. The service was excellent preparing a special diet breakfast. Hope i have to do more work in the area so I will have chance to come back.

My partner and I have been here twice now, and both times have been fantastic. It really is a little home away from home in a quiet yet humble part of Shropshire. The owners Mary and Edward are very accommodating, welcoming and hardworking - they greet you with a smile every morning and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation... More

I had booked a day's course at Acton Scott Working Farm museum. This place was really convenient as it is next door to the farm museum so I was able to get there easily the next morning. We paid £30 each for bed and breakfast. I felt that I had stepped back in time as the place reminded me of... More
