The Affcot Lodge, is a friendly welcoming Hotel / motel, we stayed, for two nights and first impressions where good. The rooms were nicely decorated but felt a little cold as if the heating wasn't working to the best of its ability which for me wasn't a huge issue but others in our party who were a little older did... Stayed here as single female traveller attending a course in Ludlow in late September and early October. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean and my favourite thing when travelling a bath to soak in and relax! Staff very friendly and helpful and made me feel quite at home. Approximately 15-20 minutes car journey into Ludlow which is a very... More

We have visited here on a number of occasions for the Sunday Carvery. The food is excellent and has a real home cooked taste. There are a variety of meats available and a wide selection of vegetables too. We were very well looked after by the young waitress who we think is new. Thank you! The Carvery really is very... En route from Cornwall to Knutsford we called in here for late morning coffees. We were greeted by a friendly young chap at the bar who served us excellent Americano coffees and mint chocolates. The dining area was bright and spacious with only another two tables occupied and it was unfortunate that we hadn't had time to have lunch.

I think the excellent staff make this place It's pretty well located on the a49. The interior of the bar and corridors seems a bit dated. We had dinner once but weren't that impressed. The rooms are clean and nicer looking than the corridors. They were well serviced each night. Breakfast was pretty good. First impressions weren't great but the... More

We decided to have a mini break in the area and this venue fitted the bill. We arrived mid afternoon and the place was quiet. Once into the bar/reception area we were immediately seen to by the effervescent Chloe who out early and wasn't replenishing was the epitome of charm, fun and help. She soon made us feel welcome and... More

We used this hotel when attending a wedding at nearby Dilbury Hall. We booked it well in advance and had a pleasant overnight stay with family. The staff were extremely obliging and friendly and a good breakfast was served in the dining room. The rooms however were rather tired and needed attention. The beds were comfy but the bathroom was... More

For us, a family of 4, Affcot Lodge was a bit of a mixed bag. We booked a single night stay at short notice and were pleased to get somewhere so convenient to stay. Firstly, we couldn't fault the service and friendliness of the staff - they were excellent. The dinner we had at the bar/restaurant was also excellent and... More

Staff really friendly and helpful. Room seemed fine at first but realised it was damp and felt cold. The wall near bed felt damp and paint flaking off...three outside walls! Bathroom large but extractor not efficient so damp feeling made worse. Noise from children upstairs jumping up and down so noise would be an issue if staying longer. Having stayed... More

We booked a night in the Affcot Lodge in June 2015. Booking.com listed it as a four star hotel which it most definitely is not. The hotel is in a very remote area. There is one Italian restaurant opposite it but it did not look appealing. It was not an unpleasant experience but definitely would not give it four stars... More
