I must admit that this was not my first choice in Gairloch, but the town was busy and I had no prior booking, so when they had one single room left, I was glad to unpack and settle in. I understand the views from the front rooms are stunning, however, despite my room to the rear having one window looking... More

My wife and I stayed for one night. The room was expensive, not very clean and the funiture back from the 70s. The bathroom was disgusting. The dinner and breakfast area smells weird and needs some more cleaning as well. The view from our room was nice (we saw the ocean). The little pub is nice but nothing special. The... More

I have stayed in many places in many different countries.........this is something uniquely different and the better for it. I came to the Highlands with stories of great hospitality, I certainly wasn't disappointed, all of the staff could not have been more helpful, I found everyone friendly, polite and with a genuine interest in you the person. I had planned... More

I stayed in the Mill croft years ago and found it simple, basic and good value so was happy to book again when I visited Gairloch recently. The place has sadly been allowed to run down quite a bit and the apartment we were given was very tired which is a shame given that the view across the bay would... More

We had booked two rooms well in advance wanting to make what we thought was a small friendly hotel/ pub our base for nearly a fortnight's stay in a lovely part of Scotland. On arrival everything looked in need of a bit care but this didn't put us off. Checking in, the receptionist was more interested in her whining dog... More

We had drinks in the Fish Box bar and the locals were very friendly particularly Michael the barman. He was very attentive remembering our order whenever we went to the bar and going out of his way to check the cellar on two occasions for me. Good atmosphere and reasonable prices for their malt whisky selection. Would love to visit... More

We stayed here for three nights B&B and we ate in house twice in the evening. Our room was adequate although a little on the small side, but the view over the bay well worth the inconvenience. The Breakfasts and evening meals were all excellent. A nice quiet place to visit, with some beautiful views. The staff were all very... More

I recently stayed here for 3 nights with my 2 daughters in the family suite. The staff made us incredibly welcome and the food was good - very nice breakfast and great evening meal in the Lounge Bar overlooking the bay. The suite was spacious - 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate bedroom/lounge area downstairs - but somewhat basic... More
