Cause if your passing through you have next to no chance of finding a place to stay. Oh and dont eat at the chinese take away it was... More

Nobody will ever go hungry at the Myrtle Bank hotel, portion sizes are not held back on. Definitely enough food to set you up for a couple of days of hiking. This is my second weekend here. The staff and genuinely some of the nicest people you'd wish to meet, and are obviously fond of each other. Both my rooms... More

We've been a couple of times now and with baby, once we arrived very late back and couldn't find anywhere to eat so the owner crank up the kitchen and the best fish and chips. Local Relatives popped in for a drink, everyone feel so welcome. Best breakfasts you'll get and food is hearty and top quality. Very homely and... More

Thank you to this cosy, family run refuge when we found ourselves on the West Coast during the "weather bomb". A roaring fire and bright cheering decor gave us comfort after a hair-raising drive from Ulapool. Dinner was excellent, our room was 5 star - warm, spacious, ultra comfortable with everything we needed. View of the boiling sea was memorable... More

This hotel is top drawer. The rooms are lovely, the food (especially the fish) is exquisite. Gairloch is a beautiful place, sitting in this conservetory drinking a top malt is paradise. This is a beautiful and peaceful part of north west Scotland; well worth staying at this hotel

We stayed here on one of the wettest windiest nights of the year and it was amazing! We were warm and cosy in a beautiful room with the most amazing view. We dined in the restaurant and the food and service were second to none. without exception every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was... More

As part of a 5-day tour of north Scotland we decided to head to Gairloch for the scenery and some walks along the beach and selected the Myrtle Beach Hotel as it was right on the water front and got great reviews. The reviews were all correct this is a good family run hotel which specialises in making you feel... More

Gairloch and the surrounding area has some stunning views and the Myrtle Bank Hotel is very well positioned right on the shore line, with fantastic views around the bay. All staff are very friendly and the owner is in attendance to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The rooms are huge and of very good quality, with plenty of nice touches... More

Myrtle Bank, a family run hotel, meets all one needs for a comfortable and relaxed stay, supported by warm and caring staff who do all they can to meet ones needs. It is set by the shore with a fine view down the loch and of the beautiful skyscapes. We stayed in a room with sea view, ample lounge area... More

I stayed with my boyfriend and brother for 3 nights in September, and it just couldn't have been better. The staff are so friendly and helpful - they joked with my brother (who is brain damaged and epileptic) and totally ignored his disability... even gave him a bit of 2 desserts when he couldn't decide which one he wanted! You... More
