As usual enjoyed our short stay this time ( we normally stay at The Myrtle 7 -10 nights). To us and our Grandson Cameron it really is a special place to stay. It is extremely comfortable with the most stunning views and sunsets. The food is really good and a terrific selection of breakfasts. So once again thankyou Sean ,Anita ,Neil... More

I was booked in for one night as I was taking my mother to Aultbea as she worked there during WW2 as a wren. As she is elderly we wanted a hotel where she would be comfortable in and have a pleasant outlook. This hotel ticked all these boxes. The weather was wet and we decided to eat in at... More

Fantastic place to stay, right on the shore of the loch. Massive room easily fitted the extra single bed for our son. Beautiful view over the bay. Within 5 minutes of leaving our room we'd discovered a sea urchin and a starfish in the rock pools across the quiet road. Restaurant fantastic, delicious seafood, also very good vegetarian and even... More

Recently spent two fantastic nights here. Our room was very comfortable with lovely water views. The conservatory was a relaxing place for a drink and the food and service in the restaurant was efficient and friendly.

We booked one night at this hotel, trying it out for potential future use as a "bolt-hole". Lovely views, right on the beach, overlooking the bay. Room was at the back - we knew to expect that - and it was fine, although bathroom is in need of upgrading - and a good cleaner! However, service is poor in the... More

This hotel is located in the backroads of Gairloch but the views are lovely. They have a very nice conservatory and bar but the service is rubbish. I waited 10 minutes for a drink in the empty bar before going into reception next room to see if anyone was awake, I saw this young guy who saw me but just... More

There can be few more idyllic settings than this hotel. Situated lochside, the view across the loch to the Isle of Skye and beyond is magnificient. The hotel itself has been tastefully modernised over the last few years - the latest addition being the raised patio area at the front, enchancing the outside eating experience or just to enjoy a... Visited May Bank Holiday weekend for my annual trip with my sister. Had checked the hotel on Trip advisor before going and knew we were in for a good time. Took advice and booked a front room for the view and against possible noise from the bar. BTW- the bar was great- welcoming and friendly. If you find it noisy... More

Me and a friend stayed here during a round britain dinghy trip, and it was ideal. Good food, good serivce and a locals bar at the back with decent beer. Shaun and his wife veryt helpful - I even got some washinbg done. Shame the car park is in front of the lovely view, but its hardly a big gripe.... More

It may not be appropriate to expect too much of a hotel in a small town like Gairloch but I'm basing my review on what we experienced across the Highlands and Hebrides rather than just on the offerings of this particular town. The hotel was decent - clean and well located. Our room was large and featured a nice view... More
