The lighthouse cannot be described, it is an unique place, perfect the location, individuel the rooms. We feeled at home, we just wanted to pass some more time in this wonderful place. Incredibile the long sunsets, the total sense of "out of the world". I am sure that it will be a place which we will never forget. The children... More

This is a very special destination, at the end of the road, where the land meets the sea, and the sea meets the horizon. Tracy and Roger are very welcoming hosts and the lighthouse is a warm and friendly home. We stayed two nights but would strongly recommend four or three nights as there is much to do: whale and... It's a great drive in to the lighthouse with great panoramas across the loch. Roger and Tracy gave us a warm welcome. We enjoyed their relaxed, friendly style of hosting, the food was very good and it made us aware of being at the edge of the world looking out the window at night and seeing the sweep of our... More

Extraordinary location, particularly if you want to see otters and sea eagles, and comfortable accommodation. Excellent value for money. Tracey and Roger are welcoming and knowledgable, going out of their way to make sure that stay is enjoyable and successful. Tracey's evening meals and homemade cakes are delicious! Can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely place with a very familiar welcome. And for a biker the road to get there is great...:) From the window we could see Whales, Dolphins and Otters, just a short walk away were some Seals playing..

We had the joy of staying in the first officers quarters adjacent to the bed and breakfast part of the light house, this consists of 3 huge bedrooms 1 en suite, bathroom, kitchen and living room all to ours selves. The location is amazing but best of all is the wild life on your doorstep, we had only gone for... More

Not only the location is extraordinary, but Tracy and Roger who run it are the most interesting and nice person you can meet. The atmosphere is friendly and intelligent. You feel welcomed and respected. The conversation is enriching. The food is excellent, the rooms very comfortable and nicely decorated. Everything is perfectly clean. Just feel like visiting again as soon... More

Despite the beautiful setting, I would not recommend this place to anybody. We booked in for 2 nights and had to leave after one. We had booked based on the trip advisor reviews and the warm and welcoming atmosphere referred to in other reviews certainly wasn’t apparent to us. We felt immediately judged based on our plans for the weekend... More

We were disappointed to receive this review. As other travellers will see from our many positive reviews, we extend a warm welcome to all our guests and these guests were no exception. We welcomed them on arrival and helped them by booking a taxi from their party. These guests arrived back after midnight from their party drunk and noisy, and... More

This was a truly wonderful stop on our trip around Scotland. Our group of 4 adults and 3 children were well taken care of by hosts, Tracy and Roger. Tracy took our booking personally and saw to our special requirements (the gluten free brownies were delightful!). Highly recommending this guest house to future guests - take your time, enjoy the... Thanks for posting your review and glad you enjoyed the brownies - I can't claim credit for them - they are made by a friend who specialises in gluten-free cakes! Just a note about en-suites; we have three ensuite rooms and the other two share a bathroom. We'd love to be able to put in ensuites or private bathrooms for... More
