This place is very quaint and perfectly situated for exploring to area. Whilst I can't comment on the price (as we had a special rate which was paid for by work); the standard of accommodation and, more importantly, the attitude of the staff is first rate. Some reviews have commented on the decor - it's a small hotel in the... More

A step back in time. Reading other reviews we must have been put in an old bedroom, the beds were old and very uncomfortable. The room was clean but very dated and had an odd smell. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Free wifi but poor and patchy. The breakfast was not good at all I was told it... More

Excellent accommodation - home from home. The room was comfortable, clean with a beautiful en-suite bathroom, with the unexpected advantage of having a smaller room off the first with bunk beds and chairs and table for the kids. The lounge was very comfortable with lots of games and books to help you occupy yourself during rainy days. An honesty bar... More

We know the area well and have now had several very enjoyable ‘multi-day’ stays at the Highland Lodge, and this visit was no exception. The hotel suits our requirements for a West Highland holiday very well: location, clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and competent staff, knowledgeable and attentive proprietor (speaks German and French), good value; with added features of... Overall I was disappointed with the Gailoch Hotel's public areas and particularly the breakfast. I don't think at the prices charged that they offer value for money in comparison with what is on offer elsewhere in Scotland! Given that we were at a wedding and really only needed the hotel to get our heads down overnight and spent our time... More

Very happy with the hotel. Friendly staff, convenient location in town and excellent restaurant. Nice views outside of my room and next to an art gallery. I hope to visit again the next time in the UK.

Alistair, Sharon and staff were really helpful in supporting our independent cycling group. They put themselves out considerably to help us. The rooms have been refurbished over the winter and are most comfortable. Breakfast is served in a delightful area with lovely views over the lovely gardens. Arrangements were made for us to eat at the adjacent inn, a short... More

On arrival we were met by a friendly lady who showed us around the hotel and to our rooms, giving us a little information on the surrounding area, including the sister hotel where we could get an evening meal. The location was a good spot with great views of the harbour, and plenty to do in the area.

Stayed at the Gairloch Highland Lodge with a group of like minded friends, we took over the complete lodge from Friday to Monday. Check in was quick and we where shown to our room. Our room had been refurbished with a new tiled bathroom and a heated towel rail. The bath had been changed to a lovely walk in shower.... More
