Stayed there in a private family room a few weeks ago. Very nice and friendly wardens. Rooms and communal areas were clean and the service was efficient. And views from our room were magnificient. However, I think it's overpriced for what you get. It is after all a Youth Hostel with no facilities in the rooms, in the room we... More

Excellent hostel, great location with a fabulous lounge area - great views and a really good place to watch dark stormy weather outside! The room was a really good size, Ruth was absolutely lovely and the continental breakfast supplied was very good value for money - would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning some day.

Escaped the midges to a warm welcome at Gairloch SYHA. Everything a hostel should be: friendly staff, clean facilities, cosy lounge and a great position. Would definitly go back however the kitchen would be a bit crowded if the hostel was full.

5 of us shared 2 family rooms. Damian and Ruth the wardens were pleasant, helpful and had lots of local knowledge. Views are stunning and kitchen, lounge qand dining room facilities had all we needed and more for our budget holiday. We will go again.

Stayed at Carn Dearg for fifteenth year in a row with a school group. It is an excellent centre with comfortable accommodation and a warm lounge from which the view is great and storms can be spectacular!

The hostel has amazing views that are nothing short of spectacular. It has a rustic feeling which only adds to the charm. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful

Stayed here for 2 nights. Characterful place. Rudimentary loos and bedrooms. Excellent kitchen and lounge with a view to die for, right by the water's edge and looking across to the Torridon mountains and North Skye. The overflow car park is a bit of a challenge and don't expect to walk to the pub!
