Alnmouth is a lovely friendly place to stay, with a good bus service, and within walking distance of the railway station. There are a few shops, and plenty of places to eat. Stayed at the Saddle for four nights. Stayed in room one, which had been quite recently decorated in a modern style and found it a comfortable, and good... More

We have stayed here before when it was a hotel and it was getting a little tired. We decided to come back to see if anything had changed and were not disappointed. The rooms are now lovely after being refurbished, with everything we could need and plenty of space for the dog. The couple who run the b & b... More

Nice people of Northumbria. It's such a lovely county nobody should be disappointed. Anyway the hotel was fine,Its quiet and near a fab beach. The room was clean with a big bed and the breakfast was hot.The best bit was the lovely lady that served breakfast who was probably even older than she looked.Better than Acorn Antiques. The shower was... More

The only good thing was the comfy matress, breakfast was inedible with only a 45 min window to eat. No light in the shower, mirror propped open with a heavy weight. Location is excellant, shame about the tiredness of the B&B.

Having read a couple of recent negative reviews (which appeared after booking) I was slightly apprehensive about the stay however it exceeded my expectations. It is not an ultra modern, spacious hotel so if that is what you are looking for then you may disappointed however for our requirements it was ideal. The owners were really welcoming to both us... The reviews are interesting...there may be great rooms and poor rooms. We received the latter. Lacking fresh air, uncomfortable beds, wonky furnishings, couldn't care much attitude of host. Parking a squeeze. Little or no assistance with the couple of mild questions we asked. Expensive for what it is. We had much brilliant accommodation throughout England, we're not overly fussy, but... I feel we could have done way better for the price. There was only room on the floor to open one case at a time, the fittings and furnishings were an unattractive mish mash, mattresses long past their use by date. Very basic facilities. No soap provided. Throughout hotel fading carpet and some stuffy odors prevailed. wifi patchy. Host does... More

we booked in for five nights and asked for a king size room with ensuite. We were allocated room 5 on the top floor and got the king size bed and it was quite a good one but that didn't leave much room for anything else and the bathroom was tiny .... barely standing room for one ... walk in... We stayed for two nights midweek, and found the Saddle B&B to be conveniently in the village centre, with its own off street parking, which was very useful. The house is probably a hundred years or more old, so has lots of character. Our room was on the top floor, with en-suite shower and toilet and a view over the... More

I stayed for one night, on a Friday. I hadn't realised it was the Alnmouth Art Festival that weekend, so that was a pleasant surprise. We ate in the attached Hooked restaurant, which was lovely. The B&B is very well placed in the centre of Alnmouth, and is a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The room was a... More
