Recently had a two night bed & breakfast stay at The Saddle on a deal. This is a delightful Bed & Breakfast . Breakfast was outstanding. Specially recommended is the Craster Kipper, however could not fault any of the other choices. Well situated on the main street, just a short stroll to the beach. The main street is a quiet street and does... More

This was our second visit with our pooch Bracken, he is always made very welcome by the owners & the lovely lady who serves the delicious breakfast. We like to have our dog with us so our breakfast table was made up in the snug....inform the owners when you arrive. There are plenty of walks nearby & most of the... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights, in room 6. This is a good sized double, at the front, with sea view past the Church ( which contrary to other posts, does NOT chime throughout the night). Sadly the room is spoilt in an attempt to create a family room by the addition of a large single bed and... More

We've just returned from a two night stay at The Saddle where we enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable break. We stayed in Room 7 at the top of the building - this is the newly refurbished Executive Suite which means you get a small but very pleasant sitting room at the front of the building which has views of the... We've stayed here a couple of times and this time were pleased to see The Saddle has had a makeover. Nothing too flash but nice paint new carpets and the addition of Hooked restaurant (weds to Sat nights) What hasn't changed is the same homely welcome and low key hospitality. The owners strike the right balance between being there if... More

This is our third stay here and it certainly won't be our last. Great service and great breakfasts. Rooms newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Love the lady who serves breakfast - a real treasure! Location is perfect with the sea two minutes walk from the door, fabulous eateries and 4 great pubs all within a minutes walk. Ideally located for... More

We stayed here last week for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The owners are a lovely friendly couple who are happy to provide information. The room was lovely, clean and modern. The village is small and all the amenities are on one street. We liked the Red Lion and The Sun where we had a meal the first night.... More

Stayed for two nights at Valentine's weekend. Breakfasts were yummy and the staff were friendly. Room was fine. Bed comfortable and room and ensuite clean. Only quibble I could say was the noisy people above us clumping around at 6.30am, but obviously not the B&B's fault.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Saddle this week. It was excellent - welcoming hosts, very dog friendly, comfortable room / bed and great breakfasts. Lots of great cosy pubs close by for evening meals. Everyone was very friendly.
