Lovely location, lovely room, superb breakfast and Janice was lovely and very helpful. The surrounding area is fantastic and Alnmouth is a beautiful place, with lots of eateries and bars. Short walk from the train station and Alnwick is easily accessible. Highly recommended.

Very pretty location, our room was at the front with a view of the estuary beyond a small park. Lovely room kept spotlessly clean, very comfortable. Janice, the owner, is a star. Nothing is too much trouble, from her offer of booking tables at local pubs and restaurants, volunteering information on places to go, she even went to the trouble... More

Looking for somewhere to stop over on our way back from Iona we found Westlea. Warm and very informative welcome and we were helped to book our evening meals for the two nights and given options about where to visit. Our room was on the ground floor and self-contained which suited us perfectly. The evening sunset over the playground and... More

Visited for three nights, first night was in loft conversion room, small, hot, constantly banging heads off ceiling, no good. Then moved to ground floor, not huge but entrance straight into room so no need to traipse through house. Bit of a view despite being on ground floor, but only when cars not parked directly outside. Breakfast ordered the night... More

Recently stayed here with my parents for 3 nights and had a great little break. The B and B has lovely spacious rooms, some with estuary views and balconies or sitting areas outside. Very peaceful. Janice is the star though. She made me feel as if we were staying with her in her home rather than in her B and... More

We only stayed for one night and got the last twin room available at the hotel on the ground floor. Janice welcomed us and gave us lots of information and booked us in the Sun Inn for dinner on the evening. Parking is on-site and has room for 6 cars, you need to be careful if you need to use... This B&B probably occupies the most beautiful spot in Alnmouth, which my sister and I fell in love with straight away. Alnmouth is on the Newcastle-Edinburgh cycle route and a highly recommended stopover point - our favourite of the week. We received an extremely friendly welcome upon arrival at Westlea. The amount of information given to us on arrival was... More

Stayed at Westlea for 1 night last week. The booking process was quick and from the very outset Janice the owner was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We had a spacious room with a balcony which overlooked the estuary. The room was clean and the bath room spacious and clean (the shower was fantastic). There is a... More

Great B&B and run by the most friendly lady (Janice). Nothing was too much bother (dinner bookings, directions, phoning ahead) and she even tolerated our 3 children running amok for 4 days. Great location opposite a park on the river in this beautiful, unspoilt little seaside town. Great base for exploring Alnwick Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Banburgh Castle and Holy Island... More

This was a chance stop for me, mid-evening, on a cycling tour. The guest house is on a quiet side-road by the estuary, yet conveniently central in the picturesque seaside village of Alnmouth The proprietor was immediately very helpful and even rang up a couple of restaurants so I could be sure of an evening meal. The room was very... More
