Excellent stay for one night whilst in Alnmouth, comfortable room, and host Janice nothing is too much trouble. All this and great cooked breakfast to boot, with everything almost imaginable on the plate. Great views over the estuary for free.

A truly excellent find in a lovely village, Westlea is a B&B that caters for your every need and like other reviewers have already said, Janice makes all the difference. Nothing is too much trouble, she really does take care of her guests. We had two rooms, one with a balcony and beautiful views across the water and a very... More

We found this Bed and Breakfast through the 'Little Green Book' and rang on the off chance they would have a room vacant. How lucky were we? Janice is amazing she showed us 2 rooms which were beautiful. We decided to have the purple room and it was absolutely gorgeous, really well decorated and furnished and the bathroom...well..fabulous. It doesn't... More

Janice is well suited to her role here. She welcomed us warmly, ran through an extensive breakfast menu with us and offered help with restaurant bookings. Room was spotless, bed comfortable and the room quiet. Only glitch was breakfast only offered 8.00-8.30 as staff were away. Was a little early for us, but have to say the breakfast itself was... Janice was very helpful and attentive and provided for our requests. Well situated for village and amenities. Bedroom and bathroom facilities cleaned and presented to a very high standard. Would definitely book here again. Home baking was excellent for hungry runners!! Only small issue is parking. It is better to park on the road than in the drive area as... More

My friend and I stayed there recently as we were going to see Tom Jones in nearby Alnwick castle. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden and river with double and single beds which we covered in beautiful cotton quilts, there were two very comfortable armchairs plus the usual television and tea/coffee making facilities. We could not fault this... More

Breakfast excellent and even brought to my friend a sparkling candle card present of box of chocolates at breakfast. Offered wonderful local knowledge will definitely be returning there now... More

Just simply lovely! Janice the owner is so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Food is great and plentiful. Janice always bakes cakes for those staying to have in the afternoon with a nice cuppa. We had 2 x downstairs rooms both looking out over the estuary. Both rooms suitable for those who have limited mobility and both rooms... More

Very good host, clean and tidy inside, sadly at time of visit there was one of the families truck parked in the drive, hope this is gone soon. The Breakfast was very good, the building is close to local pubs and resteraunts yet tucked away with good views at the front. We would stay agin

The room was very clean and spacious, while the location was perfect with easy access to the beaches, cafes and pubs. The service very good; Janice was extremely helpful and genuine - we really enjoyed our stay.
