Wow wow wow! Just eaten here & it was absolutely fantastic! We ate during happy hour which we hadn't realised so the final bill was exceptionally unexpected! For starters, I had focaccia with sun blushed tomato and cheese and my husband had mussels in a creamy curry sauce! Mains I had a calzone pizza with King prawns and spinach (made... More

We thought we would give this place another go after the disapointment of our last visit in September 2015,what a mistake! They did not inform us when booking the table at last minute of all the items on the menu they did not have available( we only booked the table 30 minutes before) and when the food came out the... Needed a break on the first semi-decent day for months so went to Alnmouth for lunch and a walk on the beach. Never eaten here before but most certainly will again. The Boulmer Crab soup was so good my wife insisted sharing - and she hates soup !!. My mussels and her sea bass were excellent and her panacotta got... More

We have visited the Italia restaurant here a couple of times in the last few weeks, it has been great. We have a holiday home in Amble and are in Northumberland every weekend, one of our favourite pastimes is eating out! We visited the Hope and Anchor a couple of years ago, before refurbishment, it was very shabby. It is... More

We stayed for a night, the room was just a little bit tired but very clean, It is our understanding that the rooms are going to be updated over the winter so no real issue. They were well supplied with little essentials. The location was great a nice little village with excellent walks. Breakfast was good, just a pity that... More

We retuned for 2 nights, we have stayed a couple of times with our dog and love that the beach is just a few minutes walk. From beginning to end our stay was fantastic, the staff are wonderful and go to so much effort to make sure you are happy and welcomed. Adam especially went out of his way to... More
