We stayed on 21st March and this was our dogs first stopover at a B&B. The beach is beautiful, room was lovely, cosy bar with friendly staff and locals. Food was excellent - I would recommend the mussels. The breakfast was excellent too - we will definitely be back.

Visited for lunch yesterday with family and two dogs. The pub is a delightful seaside retreat. Very warm and welcoming with great, wholesome pub grub. Just what you need after a bracing walk along Alnmouth beach. The dogs were very welcome, in fact the pub was full of them and there is a lovely atmosphere as people speak to each... More

Called here for lunch with my partner, we were in Alnmouth for an overnight stay and were attracted to the Sun Inn as it was dog friendly and we had our black lab with us. Everything was very warm and welcoming, lovely log and coal fire, professional and friendly staff that solved a minor issue we had promptly and professionally,... More

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat after a long walk. We were greeted by very friendly staff in a lovely cosy pub- with a roaring fire. The food was just perfect for us - pub grub but great quality. We will be making a return visit again and I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Called into this charming pub last Saturday lunchtime on our way up to Holy Island. All six adults enjoyed a wonderful, reasonably priced lunch & drinks. The service from the two bar staff was friendly & professional & benefitting from an open fire, the atmosphere was snug & cosy. Only downside, there is only on street parking. Will definitely recommend... More

Just in for a drink and a meal. Service first rate & really friendly. Not a great selection of beer but what's on is well kept. Food was spot on and not expensive. Atmosphere was really welcoming, open fire and good decoration.

I've visited Alnmouth many times, but had never ventured into the Sun Inn before now, and what a shame we hadn't! We had pre-dinner drinks after a bracing walk along Alnmouth beach on Friday (mulled wine was a lovely way to warm up!) As we thought the pub was so welcoming, and friendly we decided to book a table for... More

Cosy and welcoming with beautiful open fire, a warm and friendly Inn to relax in after a days sightseeing, food plentiful and good quality. Staff were efficient and professional. A really good atmosphere, popular but not too busy.

I was extremely happy with the high level of service we received during our recent stay in the Sun Inn. All of the staff are friendly and made us feel very at home. The locate is brilliant (only 2 minutes walk to the beach). The food in the pub is fantastic, as is the breakfast! Definitely reccommended.

A great pub which welcomes dogs! We pre booked as we were a party of 9 and had 2 dogs so were allowed to eat in the bar. Lovely village atmosphere. Great food! Amazing desserts! And the staff were very welcoming and friendly- even helping us out with some milk to take home!
