Myself and the family had a fabulous week at this hotel in August. The two stand out things were the managers and staff and the food. The managers and staff were unfailingly pleasant, helpful and accommodating and worked to ensure that you had a really good holiday. We were travelling with a family and they were really helpful and kind... More

Stayed here a week with a HF Holiday guided walk and loved every moment of it. The superior room we had was good and had an ensuite shower. The ceiling In our room was not to our taste, overall finish of the room was good enough but not exceptional. Breakfast and packed lunch were good. Diners lacked vegatables, I wil... More

This is a hotel/house used predominantly by members of HF Holidays, walking holidays. The manager, Reuben Carr, runs the hotel with warmth, friendliness and efficiently meets all the guests needs. I was particularly impressed as I am on a very strict diet to control Type 2 diabetes (very low carbohydrates) and all the meals served were delicious and met all... More

We were part of a large group that took over the whole hotel for a three day youth club reunion and could not have been better looked after. Breakfast was enormous with everything one could possible want and a chef who knows how to cook poached eggs (very rare!). Every time it looked as if the toast or the coffee... More

HF Holidays is a UK-based cooperative, which among other offerings, owns and manages country houses in the UK. Nether Grange is the property in Alnmouth, Northumberland. As a couple, we were able to accommodate one spouse's interest in garden tours with the other spouse's interest in walking/hiking. The entire experience was delightful. The volunteer garden and waking guides knew their... More

Excellent facilities, with attentive and helpful staff. Superb organisation and loads of fantastic food. Parking is on street only, but in Alnmouth this was not a concern. If you want, Golf Course is across the road, and the beach is a minute or two's walk away. Good central base for exploring the wonderful Northumberland coast and castles, with Alnwick just... More

Went on two HF Holidays events, a tour and walk. Had a great time. The food was OK. Really like the options for all the meals. People are very friendly. It is nice to be recognized. Just across the street, is the sea with a small golf course. Small town that is fun to walk through. The harbor has a... More

Enjoyed my short break - something really different. You need to be sociable and fairly energetic as there is a busy program of group activities and the meals are communal too. The property is in a great location in the village of Alnmouth a short walk from the beach. The rooms were clean and well decorated, and I found the... More

Took part in a walking holiday here. The walks were varied, up in the hills and by the sea. HF Holidays own this house. The cost of maintaining it must be huge, Unfortunately this means lack of refurbishment, e.g the room I was in had paper peeling off the walls. The food was below average, e.g overcooked vegetables. Parking is... More

We stayed at Nether Grange for a birthday party and very much enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our huge room (34) on the top floor had wonderful views over the sea and estuary. A bit surprised to find that it had a bath but no shower, although showers are available along the corridor.
