We were staying at priory near this pub. So, on the Saturday we decided to take a nice walk to this pub. Got there at 11 am and proceeded to speed 3 hours drinking near the fire, watching the wolf go by in this proper little pub! The setting is beautiful and comfortable even with its resident dog. The drinks... More

Great food, excellent welcome and a traditional English country pub. What more could you ask for. Not a plastic imitation gastro pub, much more the unpretentious real deal with a warm friendly staff. Good selection for the vegetarian and dog friendly. We will be back. Top tip, try the Camenbert starter, marvellous!

Simon was most helpful when I booked a one night stay at the Fauconberg Arms and reserved the Four Poster room for us. We had driven from the Isle of Skye and were in need of refreshments and relaxation; parking was directly outside: the bar staff were lovely and provided us with an excellent meal. 'Crumble' the dog sat closeby...which... More

We have been planning a stay at The Fauconberg Arms for a very long time and were very excited at the prospect, we were not to be disappointed. Everything was just perfect from the moment Simon and Helen welcomed us. The room was clean, tidy, well appointed and the bed really comfortable, the en-suit bathroom huge and well laid out.... More

Like the previous review, I found that the price was too much for the experience (even the prices listed on their own website, which I imagine they do control); hotel money for lower than average B&B service. The decor in the room is very dated and the furnishing look tired. The service from the team was reminiscent of Faulty Towers,... More

Rooms were ok, relatively spacious bedroom and bathroom. Nice crisp, clean bedding but a very lumpy mattress! Well equipped room with products in the bathroom and tea, coffee and biscuits in the bedroom. Very friendly but not overly organised staff. Breakfast was small and took an inordinately long time to come, presumably as there was only one lady serving. The... More

We do try really hard to please all our customers. Our website is accurate and prices clearly stated. The fact that we did not meet this customers expectations on price was out of both our hands as this was booked by a third party. I do wish that when customers are not 100% satisfied that they tell us at the... More

I booked a long weekend here in order to see some of the UK stages of the Tour de France as a birthday present for my husband. The inn is in the sleepy quaint village of Coxwold which is a delight. We were greeted by Simon and Helen the proprietors and shown to our room. The room itself was spacious... More

Right from the word go we had wonderful service, from booking to leaving. I was so impressed with how accommodating Simon the manager/owner was, we pre ordered and were told if the children in the party would prefer something like sausage and chips etc then as long as I let them know in advance then this would be no problem.... We have just got back from a 2 night stay at Faucenberg Arms in Coxwold, I cannot put into words how outstanding and beautiful this place is, myself and my partner couldn't have been more happier from the time we stepped through the door until the day we left this morning. We where offered breakfast when we arrived Friday morning... More

The room was pretty, comfy and with a wonderful view. It is a pub but not at all noisy at night. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The village is very lovely. The abbeys close by are stunning and don't miss visiting Shandy Hall, a few doors up, - home of the inventor of the novel... More
