Definitely made a great choice for a birthday weekend break and would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The hospitality of the owner vicky was excellent, the food and accommodation was excellent and couldn't do enough for you.

The establishment Is an old farmhouse set in a remote beautiful location! Vicky greeted us and showed is to our room which was huge and had a four poster bed. The room was tasteful with lots of interesting antique furniture. The bathroom was lovely with heated floors and a large shower enclosure. The views were amazing. We slept well and... More

One bedroom apartment excellent, photos on the web site does not do it justice. Apartment has character, charm and full of history, rooms are large with high ceiling, clean and a lovely roll top bath. Perfect for walks from Braithwaite Hall, Very quite location, cosy nights in front of wood burner and stunning views. We stayed for two weeks and... More

Never stayed at 5 star b an b before, boy was this one great!! Beautiful room, gorgeous bed linen/towels, lovely hospitality tray and very comfortable residents lounge. We had a stunning walk by the river just 1/3 of a Mile from the house. Lovely breakfast, really set us up for the day. We will definitely go back.

This is a hidden gem The rooms are amazing, the welcome second to none and the breakfast to die for One of the best bed and breakfasts we've had Can't recommend highly enough. The view from our room across the Dales was worthy of the cost. We ate at the nearby Blue Lion on the evening, which although a little... More

It's a unique treat to stay in a national treasure owned by the National Trust. Braithwaite is a 17th century farmhouse where Charlie's family have been the tenant farmers for three generations since the late 1940s, raising sheep and cattle for meat and, lately at least, horses for fun. We spent two nights there in October, a time when the... More

We have just had two nights at this beautiful National Trust property. You feel very privileged to be able to stay there and although is is full of original features and feels very historic the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom & plumbing were certainly modern! Breakfast was excellent and Vicky was a warm & friendly host.

Having recently stayed in the four poster room I was taken back by the grandness of the room. The room is tastefully done with excellent views of rolling countryside. Vicky ensured that my stay was perfect even providing recommendations on where to eat. Even though I was travelling alone I was made to feel welcomed. For breakfast I opted for... More
