We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as we were in the area for a party and had got a cheap deal on Late Rooms.com. On arrival we were directed to our 'family suite' which was the furthest room away, at the very end of a narrow, pokey corridor and beyond into a little section by itself. The ventilation... more

The hotel is centrally located and convenient. The room was a pretty reasonable size and it was quiet, the breakfast was nice. The staff were helpful and pleasant during our stay furthermore, after we`d left they sent out my shirt (which I`d left in the room) free of charge. £80 may be a bit on the high side for the... more

It's a normal hotel. Rooms are big enough, bathroom is clean, food is good and staff is helpful and kind. Not luxurious, but good enough to spend a week at. more

Had to boil water in kettle to have a wash, shower and sing taps both broken. Bathroom sink had been vomitted in, blocked up and badly cleaned up. Windows almost impossible to see through because so dirty. I was told the hotel had previously gone bankrupt and then opened up under another name. I recommend the White Hart in the... more

So this is the Season of Goodwill. So this is the Season of Peace. So this is the Season of Christmas. I don’t think so. This is definitely the Season of Scrooge. This is the Season of the year that all businesses say ‘Screw you’ to the customer, who are NEVER right. Here is a true story of the ‘festivities’... more

Hi there, Sticky carpets was just the beginning. At 1:30am I asked to move to another room as the smell in the room I was in was so incredibly bad (chemical / damp - not sure). You would be much better off staying anywhere else and I include a guest house in that reccomendation. Frankly, I was in Boston on... more

I came to this hotel to do business and I was ment to stay for three weeks. I think whilst I was there a huge renervation was going on and one of my collegues got a newly decorated room (which was basic, clean and bright), I unfortunetally got an old crepid room. How can I describe it: Dark old 60's... more

Me and my wife stayed for five days at this hotel. The management offered us to choose between a twin room and a suite for the same costs. We choosed a fantastic room with a hall and two rooms, one with a four poster bed. The bathroom was as the whole room new refurbished. Very nice beds. The management and... more

A large group of us (staying at the hotel as we were attending a wedding in the area) stayed at the New England Hotel and I can honestly say I've never been given so much mis-information and encountered a manager with less people skills then at this place. When I booked I was told it was £75 per night but... more

Booked a 2 night stay1-2 Sept 2006 over the internet at favorable rates. The room was large and beautifully decorated. The en suite immaculate. The bed and pillows comfortable. The position of the hotel was great, in the centre of town. No problems checking in. Dinner was what I would expect from a swallow hotel. Great. Enough choice. Breakfast was... more
