My wife and I stayed for 3 night in early Jan. I must say the staff are great. They always ask how you are and if the can help you. The hotel is old fashioned but very clean. We stayed in room 26 which is a very nice room. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the shower would not... More

Outside is quite good with a parking area. Réception was very sympathic. Finish for the congratulation. The room is old fashion same as the hotel, the heating system was not working, additional Electric system. The bathroom was very old with silicone..breakfast was à little bit small..first time and it will be the Last one.

Just got back from a 2 night stay. The reception girl was pleasant enough when we booked in. I booked through booking.com and wanted a room with a double and 2 single beds as I was travelling with my mother and sister. We got our key to room 26 which was on the 2nd floor, right up in the Gods... More

I needed a one-night stay, specifically in Boston, on a Saturday. The New England fitted the bill exactly : attractively positioned in a quiet backwater, 7 minutes away from Boston's broad Market Place. And both free and easily accessible parking. Quick and efficient check-in by barman, but at a proper Reception Desk. Ceiling Electric light fused immediately - but there... More

went just for the weekend and really found a good basic hotel. The lady on reception went the extra mile to help us find the place we were going to,but the night reception man was totally different he seemed to think we were trying to blag a free room even though we had paid .The room itself was clean old... This hotel was recommended to us whilst we were working at Fogarty in Boston, as it is fairly cheap and in a good location. The hotel is in a good location just outside the centre of Boston, it's only around 5 minutes walk into the centre, which is full of shops, pubs & restaurants. The hotel itself is of good... More

We booked the restaurant for a meal for six. Two had starters, we then waited an hour for the main course. We were the only table in the restaurant!!!!!! 4 had duck...so tough the table shook as we tried to cut it, flaccid skin, 2 quarters of parsnip practically raw, however the stem of broccolli disintegrated when touched with the... Stayed here on business and whilst I accept at the prices that are charged it won't be the ritz .. a certain standard is expected . Sadly this hotel misses that by a country mile ! The general "decor" is old and dated and the facilities are at best adequate . My room was small and cramped . The shower... More

traditional British hotel. Staff (reception & breakfast restaurant) couldn't have been more polite. Bedrooms are all up stairs (19-26 on 2nd floor) no lift so only for the fit. Room was fine wardrobe, iron & board, some toiletries, hairdryer, and better than most -free unlimited WiFi. Breakfast was served, juice, tea/coffee, choice of cooked foods (veggie option is normal breakfast... More

I don't normally write a review unless I really had an enjoyable experience but on this occasion I felt so annoyed with how we were treated, I thought it would be worth sharing to save this from happening to others! Essentially the hotel itself is just about OK (apart from the shower didn't work in our room, nor any hot... More
