I found Three Swans 3 years ago just by chance, lucky me. It is my regular stop-over when driving from London to Yorkshire and vice versa. In my opinion, there are 2 categories of rooms to choose: the rustic and the branded. The branded rooms are located on the grounds (not part of the Coaching Inn) are like any Best... more

Having read previous reviews I asked for a quiet room not on the ground floor, so we were a bit taken aback to be allocated a ground floor room overlooking the car park. Fortunately there was no problem getting it changed to a first floor one as the hotel was far from full. The room was in an annexe next... more

We were very pleased with our special offer, weekend break in the Bewicke block. The room was large and clean with a modern bathroom. The food was good (they must have an excellent butcher because the beef was superb). There was adequate parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The purpose of the visit was to watch Leicester beat... more

With previous bad experience at the Angel just up the road, I was expecting the 3 Swans to be the same sort of "couldn't care less" provincial hotel. How wrong I was. The room was nice (albeit remote in an annex), the service polite and the food very good. The service in the bistro was a little slow as there... more

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of October. The hotel is well located near the centre and there is a reasonable amount of parking on site. On the credit side free fast wifi access is provided and there is a shoe cleaner on the hallway and a trouser press and iron. The business traveler would,... more

Booked through Laterooms at £78 bed and breakfast, the free wi-fi is something other hotel chains should adopt. My room was massive, and had a decent bathroom with complimentary smellies. The old style tv has limited stations, and the pillows were hard as rocks, but breakfast was top-notch. As the hotel is literally in the town centre, you can park... more

This hotel is easy to reach by car and has free parking spaces available. The check-in was smooth and they provided me right-away with a code for the free high-speed internet in the room. The receptionist also provided good information on sightseeing and dinner options in town. My room was located in the seperate building with the congress center and... more

We stayed here on a Travelsphere break (£98 for 2 nights B&B). The hotel has a lovely olde-worlde feel to it, particularly the front of the hotel and rooms above the hotel. The hotel has two blocks of "Superior" rooms out in the large free car park, plus a conference centre, but we asked for the historic old rooms. Reception... more

We spent one night at The Three Swans, it is at first disappointing when you find yourself usherd out of the main hotel which is lovely, across a car park and into a seventies annexe next to an MOT garage, but the standard double room was very spacious and clean with all usual facilities, Tea, coffee, tv, hairdryer, iron. As... more
