We arrived on a Wednesday early evening and collected our keys to what looked like a lovely, log cabin (on the website). We opened the door to the cabin and were instantly put off. The place was incredibly dirty (oven, fridge and bathroom in particular). It was nothing like the photographs on the website. My mother and I couldn't even... More

We booked in to brook meadow on Friday 8th August for 2 nights! The campsite is basic but lovely, they have built a new toilet block which is kept really clean, aswell as the toilets in the fish mans lodge. The site is level and we love the fact we had 2 massive plots (ehu) they have a small shop... More

My husband & I with our two boys (11yrs & 5yrs) recently stayed at Brrok Meadow for 2 nights camping. We were pitched very close to the shower/toilet block in the main field. We had a great stay & enjoyed the site a great deal. There is vast open space allowing the children free rein to play football and run... More

Beautiful hotel in some amazing well kept grounds. Excellent friendly service. Well located to local attractions. Rooms are nicely decorated making a pleasent change from modern hotels where most rooms are a mirror image of the others.

A really lovely site, loads of space that you don't get on a lot of sites. The fishing lake got busier over the weekend but was never an issue and walking around the lake it was interesting to see all the kit set up. We stayed over the May bank holiday and as the site got increasingly busier (I say... More

A lovely rural location set back from any main roads. This picturesque campsite has all the basic amenities you need including nicely maintained showers and toilets. As a camping couple we were keen try tryout a campsite that allowed campfires (sadly a dying breed). The grounds allows fires if using their fire pits which they rent out for £5. We... More

This site may only be 15 miles from home but we love it to escape to. It's always been clean and tidy and the owners have always made us feel welcome. The top field can be lively with families, but isn't that part of camping? Kids enjoying the outdoors.

Loved the location, spacious, well kept grassed areas alongside a lovely peaceful fishing lake and wooded area. We pitched a group of tents as several of us stayed for two nights and the children of all ages played football, cricket and explored the site looking for trees to climb and other children to have fun with. We all really loved... More
