Traditional English pub in a small Cotswold village of Uley. I stayed here whilst walking the Cotswold Way, and would recommend it to others. Although I have given it an average rating, this is only because Tripadvisor's next rating is "very good", whereas I would have rated it "good", which is not possible on Tripadvisor. They were welcoming, friendly, and... More

I've been here twice over the last couple of months the last on a Sunday afternoon I liked the beer but the antagonistic bar staff are a big disappointment. It seems that if you are a local the service is good otherwise it's not.

A welcome stop on our Cotswold Way walk. The inn has great character and the rooms are up to date and comfortable - just what we needed after a long day walking! Dinner in the pub was excellent and the Uley Bitter is outstanding!

Visited here for the first time and we were made to feel very welcome. Room was clean and cosy. We had a lovely home cooked meal in the evening in the dining area which was made even more homely by the lovely open fire that was lit. Will definitely be visiting again x

Visited with friends for lunch on a wet Friday in February. Nice, traditional, bar and friendly barman. Decent menu and the pies were ok, although the pastry wasn't great. Chips were good. Apart from us the pub was virtually empty and lacked any atmosphere at all. No car park so we all had to park on a quite busy main... More

As a local, we don't visit as much as we should however always enjoy it when we do. We have 2 small children and they welcome dogs. Perfect location with nice views from the beer garden and a great starting place for walks around the valley. Food portions are good and the menu traditional pub grub. Nice to see fresh... More

We enjoyed our stay at The Old Crown, despite the long trek downhill from the Cotswold Way at the end of a long day's walking - it was worth it! A traditional pub, with a friendly atmosphere and good beer, tasty pub food and helpful staff. Breakfast was really good too. Our room was a little cramped and continuing refurbishment... More

Stayed here for a wedding night do in Tetbury. When we were shown to the room (bear in mind it was August) it was really cold inside. The walls were stone and you could see the damp (see photo). We asked for a heater and were told where the blanket was. Later the heating did come on and it warmed... More

7 of us arranged to meet here for an evening meal. Food started @ 6pm so we had to wait for half an hour, but the sun was shining and the beer was good, so no complains. We placed our food orders just before 6pm and were served within 15 minutes. The food was tasty and generous portion sizes, the... More

Stopped off as a halfway point for lunch on the way back from holiday, based on a semi-random choice off Google maps! We had tuna, ham and bacon & brie baguettes between us, along with a side order of chips and I was well impressed with the tasty ham (not that pre-processed stuff), tuna (baguette stuffed full) and really tasty...
