The room was quaint, but definitely needed some modernising in decor, indeed like the entire pub. Normally this isn't the sort of thing I focus on, but even I must concede that it was lacking somewhat in this area. The room was large and the heating was very good as it needed to be, as even though the weather was... More

We only stopped here for lunch. It was good to find a pub with decent pub food at a reasonable price instead of these fancy gourmet places that seem to be taking off. We had a friendly welcome and the food was served reasonably quickly. Not sure how the free wifi worked. I couldn't get on to it. Recommended for... More

Read some of the comments about staying at the Sherborne after booking room but have to say the stay was surprising pleasant bedroom (Cotswold Room) was warm and welcoming clean and airy; breakfast was very nice with all that you'd expect from a B&B. Beautiful setting on main market square; didn't have evening meal but those I saw eating looked... More

This pub looked nice from the outside and the village is lovely. Unfortunately the Sherborne Arms is not what it seems. We had a twin room which is almost like a cellar with a window and door onto an inner courtyard. As soon as we walked in we could smell the damp. The walls had mould on them and the... More

Northleach must be one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds but what a shame that this lovely old pub in a prime position was so uncared for! We booked a superior double which looked lovely on the website! It was dinghy with no central light which was just as well as it was non too clean! The bed was... More

We stopped off for some lunch and were delighted with this place. My lamb burger was home made and lovely. One of our group had the chicken suet pudding which was wonderful and I wish I had had that! The service was first class and this would be an ideal spot for a lunch break or an evening drink.

This is a welcoming, traditional English Inn, well used by locals as well as visitors to the Cotswolds. We visited on 03.04.13 for lunch, a cold day, and were disappointed that the log fire was not lit! However, the heating was on and we managed to get a table next to a radiator!! We visited with a friend who is... More

We had sunday lunch here. The food itself was pretty good, but I felt it was over priced at nine pounds for a carvery (compared to other carvery's nearby at half the price). There was no kids menu, although with a bit of creativity we got one adults meal and split it between the two kids. I told the waitress... More

We had arranged to meet friends from various parts of the country here for lunch; because we had to be in Norfolk later on that day we arranged to stay for B/B the night before. On arrival we were taken through the restaurant to our room; we stated that it would be nice for our lunch the next day, but... More

We stayed here for a Saturday night in April 2012 in the twin room on the ground floor. Paid £62.50 B&B. We arrived very late (10.30pm) after walking all day and on arrival were greeted by the friendly bar staff who said they had been worried about us as they had been unable to reach us on the phone. Nice... More
