We went to the wheatsheaf for one night in September. We bought our dog away with us (room 12) and he could stay for £10 pn. We first visited Daylesford farm about 15 mins away for some lunch, Daylesford os famous for its fresh produce and they have a shop in nottinghill (extremely overpriced) but a nice trip out. The... Went here because we found it on the mr and mrs smith website (that we use regularly & always had fantastic experiences) Hotel itself is cute & lovely location. However, the staff running it couldn't handle it!!! this is best showed by a Sunday night whilst having dinner, an out of control wedding party that weren't even all staying at... More

We stayed for one night as a treat - what a treat it was! Bar staff excellent, friendly service and up for mixing whatever cocktails you fancy (they're highly recommended). Dinner was fantastic with a wine list to match, the desserts were wonderful also paired with great wines... Highly recommend it as a gastro pub and fab place to stay... More

A very superior village pub. Well decorated and lit, also well trained staff, and perfectibly acceptable food. Nice comfortable feel to it on a very busy Saturday night, we booked late and could only get 6.30 to 8.15, which was fine for us. But did not feel too noisy nor crowded. Menu a little on the unadventurous side, steaks predominate.... More

We had two delightful nights at the Wheatsheaf Inn in July 2014 We arrived at the Wheatsheaf Inn about 830pm after one of those horror days of travel with two missed flights from Venice to Birmingham (not our fault) and the drive down to Northleach, about seven hours behind schedule.. We walked into the bar and asked where reception was... More

We stayed overnight here to break a journey. The building is beautiful inside and out, and our room had such a huge bed in it we didn't bother using the Z-bed that had been set-up for our son - we just all used the main bed. Really beautiful garden courtyard to sit outside with a drink. Friendly staff. Great wine... More

Stopped on the way to a family party in Gloucestershire. We approached from the car park above the steep garden. On going into the nearest door we came into a bar/kitchen/dining room, which only had one table for guests to eat at which was occupied, it had a huge kitchen counter behind which a chef was toiling and a bar...
