The standard of this hotel is good, particulary for the price. Three of us stayed in a large family room for £105.00, and it was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were recommended to book for the restaurant as it gets busy, and then found we were the only ones in there. The food was ok. The... More

Recently stayed at this hotel whilst at a party being held at the Cliff Hotel. Our room on the top floor was very nicely decorated and had a good internal bathroom. We ate in the bar and had a few drinks before going out. The breakfast was tasty too. Good value.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Tower! What an imposing Folly and so close to the sea. The room was spacious and comfortable. Food was very tasty, carefully prepared and presented and delicious. My favourite attraction was the Beatles memorabilia in the bar! Great having breakfast with the Fab Four!!

Absolutey beautiful hotel. The rooms, stairs and reception are all decorated to a high standard. I stayed in the Pattrick room which is the bridal suite. Unfortunately I was on business and did not have my partner with me but she would have loved it. The standard of this hotel is better than some of the four/ five star I... More

The Tower Hotel is a fabulous building, with the splendour of a previous age. Once a grand house, it later served as a school - my wife went there - it is now a decent hotel with a three star rating. However, the food really does not live up to the surroundings at all. Whether eating in the palatial restaurant... More

We had lunch in the restaurant during the week to celebrate a birthday. We had booked but as it turned out not many people in so no real need. Wouldn't chance that at the weekend though or Sunday lunch. Rigby's Bar across the entrance hall was the most popular for bar meals, etc.,among the locals I guess, but if you... More

We recently sailed on "Jewel of the Seas" out of Harwich. We flew to London from Washington, DC and rather than stay in London we went directly to Harwich and spent the night. We stayed at the Tower Hotel and it was terrific! Karen is a wonderful Innkeeper! The room was clean and the hotel was very quiet. We had... More

After deciding to settle on this area for the start of a two-day romantic trip up the East Anglia coast and being disappointed by some of the crazy prices of some b&b's, as well as the inevitable Bank Holiday rush that meant most rooms everywhere last-minute were scooped up, my girlfriend and I decided to check in to The Tower.... We stayed in the Nelaon room for a night. The room was warm and clean, although my slight niggle was you could hear quite a lot of noise from the bar below. There was loads of free parking and we took a walk along the sea front which was nice. Had a drink on the patio from the bar, which... More
