Great little pub with rooms. Really nice welcome from the manager. Stayed as was flying really early from Stansted the next day and will definitely do so again. Room was fine, slept like a log. Would contemplate asking to park car their next time and take a taxi to airport as the airport parking was extortionate! Wish we had more... More

We found The Cricketers' Arms excellent. The location was very nice, and good outdoor seating area, we though the rooms were lovely, comfortable bed, coffee/tea making tray. A good breakfast was included in the room rate. Very friendly staff.

Needed a place to stay overnight before flying out of Stansted the following day so four of us booked one night at the Cricketers. So much nicer than staying at the antiseptic hotels around the airport, this is a real country pub looking out over the village green, and only 10-15mins drive to the Stansted car parks. Just a shame... More

We had a lovely overnight stay here. Our booking was very last minute, at about 8pm on the night we wanted to stay! But everyone was very helpful and they were able to provide us with a family room and text us the codes to gain access etc. We were at a wedding at the nearby Quendon Halls, so this... More

Nice quiet place, sun shining, garden tables, food delicious. Outdoor picnic tables and big green in front of the hotel. And wooden exposed beams in the rooms. Really romantic. I will return with my husband and not my teenager!

Stayed with a group of friends. Absolutely stunning setting. Friendly, and approachable staff. What you expect from this place is an corker of a full English when you wake up. But alas, it was as tasteful as a lay by sausage sandwich mixed in with a bit of cardboard. It really let the place down. In fact the next day... More

I stayed here by myself for a weekend for a wedding at the Quendon Halls. I was very happy with the service I received from the staff (Symone, Nicole and Jack) and had a lovely time talking to them..they made me feel right at home this service is like no other! :). Symone was very helpful with ordering me a... More

Myself and my daughter and her two children stayed here overnight to get our flight from stansted airport It was a £20 taxi journey to the airport which we offset against the cost of parking at the airport. We found the 24/7 taxi at the airport to be more reliable than the local taxi reccomended by the hotel and the... More

This is a dog-friendly hotel, which is why we chose it. Good points first: the food is excellent, although not cheap. The staff are generally friendly, and the main eating areas are comfortable - importantly, it's possible to eat with your dog beside the table. What we didn't realise, because it wasn't apparent from the website, is that the 'dog... More

Pub is set on a typical English village cricket green. The pub itself is nicely finished and pretty comfortable. The food was good. The rooms are actually a bit small, but well appointed. Great bed. Bathrooms are nicely decorated. I stayed as it was a short drive to the airport. The price compared to the airport was brilliant. It is... More
