We stayed here in July for a family wedding. Having just lost my father I was looking forward to a lovely long weekend. We had booked in Friday through to Monday. Upon arrival the lady that greeted us was so rude I almost turned round and walked out. The junior suite was just a room with a tiny tiny bathroom.... More

Had a family lunch last weekend, everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the waitress from Lithuania couldnt have been more attentive, beautiful surroundings, comfortable seating, cosy atmosphere, all that was missing was Jamie Oliver, but his book was brought for me. i would reccomend this place without hesitation.

Can't comment on the hotel as this was just a lunch time visit. We sat on the terrace which is well placed to watch wickets being taken on the beautiful village green. A specials' board was brought to our table and it was hard to choose from the excellent starters and mains displayed on the board. We were too late... More

Stayed at the Cricketers Arms for one night last month. Excellent, friendly service. We enjoyed a fantastic evening meal of two grazing platters and slept in an extremely comfortable bed, in a very quaint/quirky room that was SPOTLESS! Breakfast was delicious and we will return when next in the UK.

We booked to stay one night for a wedding, location is really nice with views over fields in a nice little street, we were 2 min drive away from the wedding venue (parklands) It does seem a bit grubby in the hallways and our bathroom (room 2) was very old and grubby but the bed was very nice and comfy,... We stayed here en route to Italy in May as we needed a stop off but this was so much more. The location is great - overlooking the cricket wicket and we had a lovely couple of hours watching the players while we enjoyed a drink. Nice walks for the dogs within a few minutes of the hotel. We stayed... More

Arrived at the Cricketers at 6.00pm. The Junior Suite ( No5 ) was little more than a room with a sofa in the corner - not as shown on the their website. The bathroom was so small - the smallest we've ever been to. and , worse, grubby. In fact the hotel including carpets in the passageways was very grubby.... More

We went overnight on an offer which had Bed, Breakfast and evening meal included. This offer was very good particularly as there appeared to be no restrictions on the evening meal. We were placed in newly built rooms across the road from the main building. The room was nicely furnished if a little warm. A fan was provided and needed.... More

This was not a big room, the shower was not great, but the king size bed the One thing that will break even a short break was lovely, really comfortable. The only problem was we were almost late for the wedding we were attending as our room was not ready at 12 as agreed it was only just ready at... More

The Cricketers is classically located on a very pretty village green amid thatched houses and the cricket pavillion. The rooms above the pub were quiet and nicely decorated although the bathroom was of an unusual and old design. There was effective heating for which we were grateful. Staff were very helpful although wifi was an issue even downstairs in the... More
