My wife treated me to a three day stay for my 70th birthday so we could tour the Aircraft collections at Duxford and Old Warden. The house is charming, the landlady is very welcoming and the breakfasts are superb. The beds were so comfortable that we both slept better than we've done for a long time. Saffron Walden is within... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the B&B of Mrs Alison Lawrence. We had a lovely, spacious room with our own bath/toilet. Her scrambled eggs were the best.

Very good. Our two year old loved being able to walk around the lawns and see horses and ponies, accompanied all the while by friendly dogs. Beautiful and relaxing setting, friendly service, pleasant rooms. Thoroughly recommended.

I'ts very nice to feel at home in the beautifiul English countryside. Surrounded by ponys horser and sheeps and emerald green grass. London, Cambridge, Duxford are olnly few tenths of minutes away. The rooms are simply furnished but very comfortable, and nothing is missing for a relaxing stay. The farmers are very nice and patient and breakfast is uforgettable. Hope... More

Redgates is an old farmhouse located in peaceful rolling hills only 2 miles from Saffron Walden. The accommodation is very nice, and I had a double en-suite room for the reasonable price of 35 pounds, which included a tasty breakfast. The owner was welcoming, taking time to tell me about places to visit and local pubs. The local lanes are... More
