What a surprise to find exceptional hospitality and customer service that excels! Staff was very accommodating. Hotel was very charming..... And old. Breakfast was extraordinary and we will be talking about the crousaints for years to come. We found everyone in this quaint town to be helpful and more than willing to help us gather the information we came for... More

Hall & Woodhouse faced a challenge trying to retain the ye olde worlde charm of a 16c coaching inn yet making it appeal to 21c Blandford trendies and tourists. They have partly succeeded. On a warm evening the patio was busy with locals enjoying socialising under the umbrellas to a background of just a little traffic noise - all a... More

We were only passing through for one night and had a lovely stay here. Check-in was welcoming, the room was spacious and comfortable. We had a dinner package and were surprised by the quality - an excellent meal. Make sure you try the platter - a wonderful assortment. Breakfast was unhurried and high quality with a good choice. Location is... More

We'd eaten in the bar area once before but booked for Sunday Lunch in the restaurant to see how it compared. There is no question that this is a very classy establishment which attracts a well-heeled clientèle. We thought the mood and ambience was first rate. Good points of the restaurant: Superb setting in a beautiful wood panelled room. Very... More

We first came across this charming hotel in the mid 80's and have stayed at it many, many times over the years. It offers charm & character and is so well located on the edge of the town centre with lovely views to the front. Sadly our stay here this time was not so good as the room was showing... More

Stayed at this hotel for New Years Eve whilst attending a function close by, booked in October for 2 double rooms. Easy to find hotel with ample free parking. Easy book in but had to ask for directions to room as none given. Double rooms turned out to be a family room with an adjoining door. 1 double bed and... More

Not the prettiest hotel from the outside but very nice on the inside. We had a drink in the bar lounge and the service was very good as we're the drinks! We didn't stay in the hotel so I'm afraid we couldn't comment on that, however if passing worth popping in for a drink and when there check out my... More
