My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for his birthday, having booked a tour of the local Hall and Woodhouse brewery (H and W also own this hotel). The hotel interior is immediately striking because it is beautifully old fashioned, with lots of dark wood panelling, heavy crimson curtains and battered leather chairs. Our room was small yet clean... more

Stayed over a long weekend, made fantastic by a rare sunny and hot burst of good weather. The hotel has a good position, angled to the main square of the town, which is mainly red brick Georgian. The rear of the hotel looks over the river and main bridge, with fields behind. They have put in a very well used... more

Ive stayed in the crown twice now, i was fortunate in that my friend was an assistant chef at the hotel and we often discussed the hotel and its workings. Its true what people say, the hotel has a very english tradition and the location is ideal for romantic getaways or business. The location is wonderful, its 8 or 9... more

This is a lovely English hotel in a country setting (horses are in a pasture accross from the hotel) The included breakfast is cooked to order and served in the hotel's white tablecloth restaurant. There is also a pub in the hotel with an outside terrace. The hotel has a free car park. for guests, which is steps away from... more

We turned up here purely on chance having been thoroughly disgruntled by a bad experience in Bournemouth. This is a very pleasant small town (in the nicest sense) hotel which is comfortable, has obliging staff, good food and really, really good beer. It's owned by Hall & Woodhouse, the Badger Brewery people, so it should be good! We had a... more

One of the strangest hotels I have stayed in. I had room 27. This is a twin room, but the beds are arranged facing each other due to the odd shape of the room. This meant that only one bed had a table, lamp and phone. The room is this odd shape because the lift is located next to it.... more

My partner and I stayed overnight here for the night of my company Xmas do and we liked it very much. The room was spacious and the bed one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Breakfast is very good, although service a little slow (not unusual for Dorset!) We had our function in the hall at the side... more

Blandford Forum is a small market town, 15 miles north west of Bournemouth in the UK. It is quite a quaint little town but, maybe because it's in the middle of the countryside there does not seem to be a mobile signal on any network!! The Crown hotel is an old english coach house style hotel with many original features.... more
