A very homely and welcoming atmosphere, this is a small friendly B & B run by lovely people Caroline and Steven. The double bedroom was spacious, spotless, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was exceptional with Caroline's homemade yogurt, jams and compote, nothing was too much trouble. Can highly recommend this beautiful house and have no doubt will stay again... More

We stayed for one night on a weekend cycling tour and cannot recommend this highly enough. Having booked at quite short notice we were welcomed and immediately shown where our bikes could be stored securely. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable, light and airy. The bathroom across the corridor had a huge bath and an excellent separate shower. The road outside... More

When travelling through Dorset we came to stay at St Martin's House in charming Blandford Forum. This is a small B&B run by a couple, Caroline and Steve, giving a feeling of coming home to some old friends. The house is spacious, tidy and nicely decorated. The bathroom was admittedly across the corridor, but reserved for our room only and... More

Dear Mats Thank you so much for taking the trouble to review your stay with us. It is much appreciated. As you note, one does not have the advantage of an en-suite bathroom when staying at St Martin's House, but our decision not to install en-suite facilities was based solely upon the fact that, in our opinion, it would detract... From the moment we arrived, we could not have asked for a better stay. Caroline and Steven gave us a generous and genuine welcome, which immediately makes you feel at home. The double room and private bathroom were spacious, spotlessly clean, and filled with all and more of the usual accessories, but the sumptuous bed was supremely comfortable. For breakfast... More

Dear D and D All I can say is that the pleasure is all ours! We are so lucky to have such lovely guests and I'm only glad that we had availability when you called. Our blackbirds and sparrows continue to serenade us all through the day and the blackbirds are, I think, on their second brood of young. Certainly... More
