This B&B is in a very central location in Lyme Regis - the front room that we stayed in has a view of the sea. It is located on top of a book shop and if you are into books this is a great place as you have access to the bookshop 24 hours and each room is crammed full... more

We visited Lyme Regis for a short holiday with our 1 year old son. We stayed in the room with a sea view. The room was very small once the travel cot was erected and with a 1 year old who is into everything the books and crockery/ornaments didn't stay on the shelves for very long. While we were in... more

The bookshop b&b is a fabulous idea and Mariko was especially helpful with hints on where to eat and things to do! The bedrooms are romantic and full from floor to ceiling with books! Although it was a little shabby in areas such as the desk in the window and under the bed I found dust and old shoes and... more

We stayed here May 18th. Bob (retired astro-physicist) runs the bookshop, whilst Japanese wife, Mariko runs the B&B upstairs. The bookshop is a cavern of delights. The books continues up the stairs, in the sitting/breakfast room and into the bedrooms. This is a clever ploy as you cannot help but pick up books and end up taking more home. The... more

Imagine the most higgledy piggledy, full up second hand bookshop you've ever visited. Now imagine wending your way up some windy stairs, surrounded by bookshelves on all sides. Two floors up you reach the stockrooms of the shop. These also have beds in them. The rooms are not especially beautifully decorated or posh. But there are books EVERYWHERE! And you... more

The name of this Bed & Breakfast could not be improved upon. Not only is It located above a bookshop but you feel as though you’re taking the bookshop with you as you ascend the wooden flights of stairs to your bedroom on the second floor. Every wallspace seems to be covered with floor-to-ceiling wooden shelves heaving with books on... more

We spent one night at the Book Lovers B&B, and hope to return for a longer spell ... it's one of the coziest, most enveloping places I've ever stayed! We enjoyed the charming, comfy rooms (complete with everything to make your own tea or coffee), and a large, well-appointed updated bathroom. There was a lovely view of the sea from... more

We have just returned from a short stay at the Book Lover's B&B in Lyme Regis. The B&B couldn't be any more centrally located; it is literally a 30 second walk to the seafront or 2 for the shops. The rooms, although not ensuite, have a bathroom per room which are absolutely immaculate. The room we stayed was very cosy... more

The Book Lovers B&B sits above the quirky 'Sanctuary bookshop'. The shop, which is owned by the B&B proprieters too, is a delight in itself with not only books but unusual bric-a-brac, quality collectables and a few fine antiques hidden among the books. The lay out of the B&B is as higgledy Piggledy as the shop with walls filled, celing... more

Situated over a bookshop in Lyme Regis the Booklover's Bed and Breakfast is a bibliophile's dream. As you climb the stairs to your room on the top floor you'll see it's full of books, in several different languages, and covering a vast amount of subjects. If you stay longer than I did you will not go short of reading material!... more
