If you like your service personalised and your environment considerably more than just 'comfortable', you'll enjoy Mariners. But be warned as it's a long way up the steep hill from the beach and town centre! Having said that, it's an interesting walk which passes several shops, pubs and eateries, as well as some of the lovely Devon architecture. This is... More

We only stayed for one night at the Mariners as part of a short touring break. The hotel is quaint and has some olde worlde charm. The male receptionist that greeted us was extremely pleasant and actually showed us to our room rather than just pointing directions. He also offered to carry our luggage. The room was very nice with... More

The young guy on reception did his job well and the hotel manager was helpful. The room was what you would expect for the price but the big let down was the waiting staff. One blonde girl in particular obviously saw her job as a total bind and just a way to earn money. No customer service, no attention to... More

We asked for a room with a view of the sea, but the 'dog' room overlooks the street - I guess there is just one room set aside for owners accompanied by dogs (?), anyway the staff are excellent, helpful and polite and provided a special dog pack containing items that might be needed during the stay. We didn't need... More

My wife and I spent a couple of nights here whilst meeting up with friends. All the staff were so welcoming and made you feel as if you were their only guests! Our room had a sea view, located at the rear of the hotel, was very smart and clean. Excellent meals in the restaurant plus very pleasant garden at... More

We were in lyme regis for a night and picked it out because of the broad range of straightforward food on the menu. Initial impressions were slightly marred by an open kitchen door and strong frying smells coming into the reception area. However, the staff were friendly and welcoming and we were ushered though to an slightly old fashioned lounge... More

My husband and I have just spent the Bank Holiday weekend in this hotel and we would thoroughly recommend it . Very comfortable room and bed. Lovely sea view and the breakfasts were great. The best thing though was the friendliness and care from all the staff.
