We recently stayed for 3 nights at The Mariners Hotel and enjoyed exploring the area. Our room (11) gave lovely sea views. Because we knew that it was an old building, we didn't mind the low ceiling, sloping floors and 'bijou' en suite, and the room was clean and adequately furnished. However we found that the extractor unit from the... More

Clean and Tidy, not quite perfect, bathroom light not work, 1/2 a toilet roll, yesterday croissant for Breackfast, say something and it was replace or repaired, but should it not be that standard to start with, someone's cutting corners. Otherwise just basic

Very nice meal. My husband and I both had steak and it was delicious. The kids had sausages/scampi and chips. This came with a drink and ice cream for £7.50. Great service too. Only caution was the price. My steak was £22. Total bill £77.75. Bit pricey really.

We had a double room over looking the street. The bed was very small but everything else was perfectly adequate. The beer garden is not well kept but does have a good view. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast is very basic as is the general decor in bar and dining rooms. The smells from the kitchen come up... More

We stayed in room 7 in July 2015, 2 nights to celebrate a significant family birthday. Beforehand we were disappointed that extended family were unable to book the same hotel and had to stay elsewhere, but when we arrived we were actually relieved that they were elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, the car park, cosy and comfy bedrooms, view from... More

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday. We stayed in room 12 which has good sea views. The breakfasts were very generous and the evening meals very good. The room was very clean, the staff attentive. We also enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the garden. We have stayed here before 3 years ago and... More

I loved this gem of a hotel just up the road from the lovely sea-side in Lyme Regis. The staff were so kind and genuinely seemed interested in making us happy. The view from the beer garden is spectacular, the room we stayed in was a great size and super, super comfy and the breakfast was fab. Th only little... More

We have been in the UK for 4 weeks, travelling from London up the east coast to Aberdeen, and backdown through the lakes district, Liverpool, Bath and then to Lyme Regis. The majority of our bookings were done on booking.com after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We had booked The Mariners based on the majority of these reviews. This review... More

Just returned from 6 days at the Mariners Hotel in Lyme Regis. Overall it was an excellent experience. The hotel is a 17th century "Charmer" conveniently located at the top of Silver street with free parking and a short walk down into town and the sea front. Returning to the hotel is an uphill journey but great exercise. Our room... More
