2 nights here and first was great. Room 5 - No view, but hey December .. It's too dark by the time you get back!.. Four poster bed, small bath but plenty of room. 2nd night - room 15... Double sea view, but very small room. Nowhere to put anything, no chair... had to get one from reception, and floor... More

I very much enjoyed my visit to the Mariners. The lady on reception when I arrived was very friendly and offered to make me up a breakfast platter in the morning because I was to be up earlier than when breakfast was being served. The room was very comfortable, after a couple of days it almost felt like it was... More

This was the second time I have chosen to stay at this hotel, and I would not hesitate to stay there again! A lovely, charming hotel with great facilities. We stayed for one night and both my partner and I commented that the bed was one of the most comfortable we had ever slept in. We were shown up to... More

The Mariners is a small hotel, and in some parts that goes for the headroom as well, but that is part of its charm. It is a row of old cottages joined together to make a charming mix of old and new. That said, the lounges and dining room have plenty of space and are comfortable. Our room was at... More

We had a warm welcome and bags were carried to our twin room for us. The room was clean and definitely enough room for two friends to share. The Mariners has a great outdoor lawn area with a view looking down to the bay and ocean. The dining room is sunny and and the breakfast menu has a great offering... More

We stayed two nights at the Mariners and were lucky to be able to see Lyme Regis at its best in the sunshine. The hotel staff were friendly and the receptionist even carried our suitcase up to our room, which faced the main road at the front of the hotel. The double glazing cut out most of the traffic noise... More

We very much enjoyed our stay here - the location is perfect - our room overlooked Silver Street, but there was no traffic noise at all. Its a real bonus that the hotel are able to offer ample parking just across the road. The room was tidy and clean with John Lewis furniture. The bathroom looks as if it was... More

If you like your service personalised and your environment considerably more than just 'comfortable', you'll enjoy Mariners. But be warned as it's a long way up the steep hill from the beach and town centre! Having said that, it's an interesting walk which passes several shops, pubs and eateries, as well as some of the lovely Devon architecture. This is... More

We only stayed for one night at the Mariners as part of a short touring break. The hotel is quaint and has some olde worlde charm. The male receptionist that greeted us was extremely pleasant and actually showed us to our room rather than just pointing directions. He also offered to carry our luggage. The room was very nice with... More
