Arrived to af warm and helpful (heavy suitcases) welcome by Mark and got settled in a nice room with very comfortable beds. View over the sea from room. Great advice and practical assistance in several matters (fossil hunting, eating, touring, drying wet clothes after being caught in severe rain etc.). Family room with double bed and single beds for two... More

After reading reviews we were expecting so much more. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed comfy, although we had a old fashioned TV with a pile of videos (no video player). The ensuite was ok. Would have been better to have a shower and not just an attachment on the bath taps. We did like the locally made... More

This will be a long review but so much was wrong so can't be helped. Upon arrival the outside seemed abit shabby or rustic depending how you look at it and doesn't look like a B and B really, mark greeted us looking slightly confused but allowed us to put our cases in the room even though the floor was being... I have just returned from 2 a two night stay at this great B&B, and everything was spot on.The room was beautifully furnished & breakfast was yummy, the hosts Zoe and Mark were extremely helpful with good advice on where to take my 7 year old daughter and where to eat some delicious local seafood. This venue makes an ideal spot... More

5 stars for genuine warmth and informality. Mark, Zoe and family made our short stay one of the highlights of our holiday. The room was charming. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I only wish we could have stayed longer to experience more of their amazing hospitality.

We stayed for 2 nights at the weekend and right from the start we were made to feel very welcome. We arrived late after a very a very long journey and were warmly greeted by Mark and Zoe who went out of their way to helped us to get settled in. We had booked a family room but needed extra... More

Stayed there last year and have just stayed again, hosted beautifully by Zoe and Mark always loads to do and being at walking distance from it all is a must. Lyme gets better and better, will be back again thanks!

I can see how this might work out as a really nice stay for some, particularly, say, people with children and those who maybe value character over comfort in B&B, but it didn't really completely work for me. A few things were a bit irritatingly inefficient. The decor was quite fancy (Laura Ashley apparently), but I definitely prefer it for... More

We spent three nights at Rhododendron House. Mark welcomed us and made us a drink, we sat outside in the glorious sunshine. We stayed in the Hawthorne room and had a great view out towards the sea. Our 7 yr old son couldn't wait to play outside with Jo and after a while Mark and I joined them both for... More

We just spent three nights at Rhododendron House and were wonderfully looked after. We stayed in the Kimono and Lori rooms which were lovely airy rooms with great views, especially loved the window seat. Zoe and Mark were great and couldn't do enough to help us, they dealt with feeding three fussy children with patience and smiles, the guinea pig... More
