Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my partners 50th birthday, found it after reading a review on-line from the Guardian. I booked the Hunting Suite, an absolutely stunning, quirky room, with deers heads on the wall, red leather sofas, a very masculine and original room, he really loved it. It was immaculately clean, bathroom well stocked with shower gel,... More

Been to this hotel before in its pre-Hix incarnation. Managed to get into the Sailing Room and stayed for 2 nights. Lovely room on the 1st floor which has access to the roof terrace. Breakfast is a treat and delivered in a hamper to your bedroom. Very helpful and friendly staff. Added bonus of 10% discount at Hix restaurant -... More

We decided to stay the night after a lovely day in Lyme Regis. We, by chance, came across Hix Town house with a vacancy sign in the window - how lucky we were! After a quick check we were booked into the Mad Hatters Room - wow- a fab quirky room that lives up to it's name. The room in... More

Lovely room. Really special place. Great staff. Lovely old building with original doors, downside was comsistantly unhappy baby nearby may as well have been in our room sound wise! Not one for light sleepers!

My wife and I stayed at Hix Townhouse when visiting River Cottage for a cookery course. When we travel, we like to stay in (where possible) boutique hotels and Hix was one of the few hotels that fitted the bill. The hotel was recently purchased by the owner of a local restaurant (Mark Hix), refurbished and reopened in 2014. The... More

We stayed two nights in the hunters suite and loved our weekend away. Really spacious lounge looking out over the main street, cosy bedroom and modern bathroom with huge shower. Great to see all the thought that went into the decor and finishing touches - although the stuffed birds did freak my husband out a bit! Breakfast hamper was great... More

We stayed for 3 nights arriving on Tuesday afternoon. The room was on the top floor with sea views; great to wake up to and enjoy your breakfast hamper that's left at 8.30 outside your room. The staff are friendly, the little extras make it 5*. We have booked to come back in May. We also ate at Hix Oyster... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at half term with our 8 year old and toddler in the hunting suite. It's a great base to have in Lyme Regis - location is perfect and the extra little touches they do make it an extra special experience. We loved the kitchen with filtered water and sparkling water taps and access to the... More

The last weekend in January was a special weekend and staying at Hix Townhouse was a huge part of that. From booking our rooms by phone (very warm lady) to leaving on the Sunday morning at the relaxed time of 11am, the whole experience was a delight. Our room, No. 4, is a suite and looks out to sea. The... More
