A cow was calving as we arrived on our bikes, obviously a real working farm! The setting is splendid - like something out of a Rupert Bear annual, in a green, wooded valley with a view fo the village and church below. We had been warned that our hostess Esme might be late to meet us but we needn't have worried,... More

Idyllic setting; bedroom spotlessly clean with views onto open fields with horses, stream at bottom of field, fresh milk for tea and coffee, good size flat screen TV, excellent central heating. visitors lounge/breakfast room with wood-burning stove, loads of reading material, info on local walks; first rate freshly cooked breakfast, several types of toast, marmalade and jam, good choice of... We stayed a couple of nights at this lovely b&b on the edge of Dartmoor, after reading the great reviews. Everything was as good as had been reported - an interesting building with clean well-equipped rooms, and, best of all, a warm welcome from Esme and Brian and the farm dogs. Within easy reach of a great pub too. Would... More

Stayed with my 16 year old son at the end of our coast to coast cycling trip or nearly the end. I didn't want to stay in Plymouth and am so glad that I chose Callisham Farm. I read the reviews and as others have said Esme and Brian are such nice people, I don't think there is much I... More

As far as B&B experiences go you wont find a more welcoming and friendly place to stay in Devon. The breakfast is sensational and Esme caters for your every taste. The rooms are typical farmhouse olde worlde and very comfy. The Moor is right on the doorstep and so walkers will be well pleased to stay here. Its a working... More

Probably the best B&B we have stayed in. I was initially suspicious - every reviewer on Trip Advisor gave Callisham 5* in every category. Can anywhere be that good? Well, yes it can! Callisham Farm is a typical old Dartmoor farmhouse with all the period features one would expect. Very comfortable, very clean and Esme's hospitality is second to none.... More

What a wonderful break we had at Callisham Farm. Esme and Brian are great hosts - more like staying with friends than as guests. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very good room, comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast that set us up for the day. All this in a lovely location. If you want a... More

We stayed for three nights at Callisham Farm and felt utterly spoiled from the beginning to the end of our stay. Esme and Brian were wonderful hosts and there are not enough words to begin to praise the fabulous breakfasts!!! The room was clean, comfortable and cosy. The shower was great and nothing was too much trouble. We really want... More

What a lovely warm welcome Esme and Brian gave my daughter, granddaughter and me after we trailed over the soggy wet Dartmoor in the wettest summer ever! Lovely comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean and very quiet. We felt like we were miles from anywhere, but Plymouth is close and there are several nice places to eat in the area.... This is by far the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. The farm feel is just wonderful. The bedroom had everything we needed. Huge flat screen t.v. the beds were very comfortable the shower had great water pressure. This place was so clean. You have all the comforts of home. But the true treasure of this place... More
