Stopped for lunch while walking the coast path as it's in a convenient location. Very slow service at the bar even though it wasn't that busy. They struggled to find a food menu and the choice was quite limited. Food was OK. Unlikely to be back.

Stopped for lunch here while walking SWCP from Rock to Porthcothan. Good beer. Tasty ciabatta sandwiches - cheese and onion, and cheese and ham with fresh salad. Pleasant staff. Very useful for coastal walkers as only a few yards off the path, but wouldn't seek it out otherwise.

The cottage was superb but was let down by filthy stained carpets. Dog hairs and large stains not cleaned before we arrived. We had to pay extra for our dog which we presumed was to cover the cost of extra cleaning which obviously was not the case.Owner hasn't even responded to my emails.

Not far from pur campsite my cousin and I visited the bar a few times and had food each time The burger was great from the afternoon menu it tasted brilliant, although it was let down by the slightly cool chips not to matter too much overall fab meal. This is our 3rd visit, we have had mixed issues with food, not great steak, but our meal this eve was fab, filling, tasty and good value, staff all very bright, bubbly and helpful. However housekeeping is poor with napkins and cuffs stuck to the sticky table and bar,as well as menus that actually smelt? As for the gents, unless... More

We arrived very late Friday night to find they had overbooked so no room available. We had a 8 week old baby in the car and had travelled for 4 hours. The bar manager didnt even offer an apology for the error just said there is a travel lodge in Wadebride try there. No offer of trying to find alternative... More

We stayed here as we thought it might be difficult to find anywhere with parking in Padstow, which was a good call. Room was clean and bed was comfortable with basic and cheap furnishings, however hugely over-priced at £90 - perhaps because of school holiday. I can see from another review that someone paid £70, which I would say is... More

Just opposite the beautiful harlyn bay beach. Lunch here on a monday. 2 meals for £12. I had vegetarian lasagne and husband pasty chips and salad. Very average food. Warm not hot. Pub was dated and a bit scruffy. Particularly the loos which need a revamp. Wouldn't avoid if I were going to the beach. Would certainly not visit the... More

We stayed here bank holiday Sunday. Really lovely location though there's nothing else but the beach there. The room looked nice but on closer inspection needed a duster that reached the edges of the furniture. The shower grout and sealant had mould spots which needed renewing and we were unable to turn down the volume on the TV and were... More
