Stayed Friday and Saturday nights in St Edmunds. Excellent room with a great bathroom. Have been to Padstow many times but never stayed at a Rick Stein establishment till now - I actually was hoping that I could downgrade it (he seems to be too successful for my liking) but it was actually very good. Lovely rooms, quality fitments -... More

An excellent choice for those down in Padstow for a gastronomic weekend in the Rick Stein empire. Tregirls is a spacious ground floor room with its own small patio and sun loungers: colonial shutters and well equipped and newly refurbished bathroom with power shower and "egg" bath: the hand of Jill Stein with understand. Comfortable, quiet and with its own... More

We stayed at St Edmunds House at the end of September as part of our honeymoon gastro-roadtrip. We've always liked Rick Stein’s TV shows and I have a couple of his books which are great, so we thought it would be nice to spend a night in Padstow and eat at his Seafood restaurant as were in that part of... Stayed for 4 nights earlier this month and really enjoyed Padstow. St Edmunds is ideally located, has parking with well appointed rooms. Our Tregirls room was perfect being on the ground floor with front French doors opening onto the lawn area. Daily breakfast is in the Seafood Restaurant and was really good. Before arrival we booked dinner at the Seafood... More

My wife took me here for my birthday and it was also our first night away from our two boys since the eldest arrived in 2007! What a treat! Beautiful room (Polzeath) and fantastic location in Padstow. Absolutely brilliant time and the breakfast at the nearby Seafood Restaurant which was included in the cost was superb

With lots of anticipation I stayed at Prospect House in Padstow for one night with my elderly father. Had heard so much in advance and the reality of Rick Stein's Padstow was even better than imagined. It is like landing in a jigsaw puzzle and all so exquisite and full of atmosphere, with every member of staff dong their utmost... More

We stayed in St Edmunds House this weekend and can find no faults what's so ever. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom up the little staircase was great with a deep tub to soak all those aches away and a powerful shower to wake you up in the morning! There's a very short stroll down to breakfast... More

Gorgeous room at St Edmunds and all are of excellent quality. Set back from the main harbour road its quiet and delightful. St Ed's is modern but with a lovely costal and pastel feel. Good quality and only a very short walk to breakfast, which of course is a delicious way to start your day. Great place for a little... More

Being a silly Canadian, I had never heard of Rick Stein until we booked the best place to stay in Padstow. It was such a lovely little town. Although we only stayed one night here on the way to St Ives, we did dine in Mr Stein's restaurant, which was exquisite. I didn't know British cuisine could be so great.... More
