From making our reservation with Sarah Taylor through to Jordan the porter showing us our room (Constantine) and the ladies at reception, the service was just impecable. This establishment oozes QUALITY from furnishings, linens, towels, soaps and complimentary drinks including a nespresso coffee machine and pods. The team have got this so right. Well done Rick.

We stayed for 2 nights in Ricks Stein's St Edmunds House, one of his many establishments in Padstow. St Edmunds House is small, with just just six rooms on two floors. It provides only accommodation, but it is very conveniently located for Stein's main seafood restaurant and St Petroc's Bistro. These are both a short fifty yards walk away. It... More

Third year running we have stayed in St Edmunds House for a winter break and enjoyed both the Sea Food Restaurant and St Petrocs bisto for evening meals. The quality of the accommodation, cleanliness and comfort is hard to beat. Will probably be back next year

I will admit right now that I love Rick Stein, I love his food programmes and I loved Chalkie. Moving on from this, i loved St Edmunds house! We had a gorgeous upstairs room tastefully decorated with a nautical theme. The bed was comfty and luxurious. The fittings were of high quality and I loved the bookcase filled with interesting... We visited here for my friends 50 th Birthday lunch and there was a group of 8 adults and one 2 year old. We all had different starters and main courses with desert and all thought the food was Fantastic. It was Hit Tasty and well presented. The atmosphere was vibrant ( if a little noisy) - hard floors but... More

We had a beautiful room with views... one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in .. Although not in the main hotel this is probably a better location and includes private car parking. Breakfast and Dinner served in the seafarer restaurant 75 yards away.

Pictures really dont do the rooms justice they are lovely and comfortable with lots of homely touches. Everything has been thought of like iron/ironing board, umbrealla, snack basket, complimentary water and lots of books and magazines not to foget the Molton Brown Toiletttries. A truly lovely place to stay if your eting downstairs or not.

I booked a room at St Edmunds House for 3 nights in July for my partners 40th birthday. Each room is beautifully decorated and the bathroom comes with a range of lovely Molton Brown products. The location is absolutely perfect for walking round Padstow as everything is on your doorstep. The only downside is the Metropole next door, but not... More
