We stayed at St Petroc's for one night out of the three we spent in Padstow. We stayed at St Edmunds the other two night, that was just wonderful. Before we comment on the downside of St Pet's, we must say that we are usually fans of all of the Stein properties, we've stayed in them all - they're of... More

My son booked several weeks ago for his 40th birthday. We received a friendly welcome and were taken to our table straight away. The food was excellent but not pretentious. Children were well catered for and the portions were much larger than expected. The fish was beautiful and the deserts amazing. The service was efficient and relaxed which we enjoyed.... More

Stayed for 2 nights here special birthday treat & wasn't disappointed. Asked for harbour view room was beautiful. Ate on the last night at the Bistro & we thought it better by far than the seafood restaurant. Definitely not for an inexpensive break but worth the stay.

We stayed one night at St Petroc's, we ate at the The Seafood Restaurant which was outstanding, however the accommodation was disappointing. The Garden room was a mid range room costing £195 per. Night for 2 on a B&B basis. The room was pleasantly furnished but very small, the windows all but one were painted shut. Fortunately there was air... More

Nothing bad to say about this place! Definitely stay again. Rooms are lovely restaurant is delicious! Breakfast fab! We've been for dinner before but never stayed and it didn't disappoint. We stayed in"Estuary View" room, which did exactly what it said - a beautiful view over the busy estuary!

Decided to stay here whilst eating in the Sea Food Restaurant (also owned by Rick Stein-like most of Padstow!) the staff in the restaurant organised a room for us with 15% discount as booked on the day (good to know for next time). Beautiful little hotel 5min walk from the Sea Food Restaurant and seafront. Rooms were large and spacious... More

We have just spent 2 nights at the hotel. First night we eat at the Seafood restaurant. Whilst the food was good and service there was no atmosphere at all and you are packed in like sardines. It's also very expensive. On the second night we eat in the Bistro. I had read the reviews and was of the opinion... More

I have eaten in many very good restaurants and a few that have blown me away. This one falls into the former category. We ate lunch there on a daytrip. Starter was a prawn and Crab cocktail which was a bit under-seasoned for my taste. For mains we had lemon sole and rock bass. Both were fresh and perfectly cooked... More
