We had the courtyard room. The room was a good size. We had a lovely wide bed with very soft feeling sheets. We slept very well. We didn't have much coffee in the room but it was nice to have a fridge. However I do believe that this room a little overpriced £150 per night for what it is. Good... More

Our 3rd Visit in 2 years which should speak for itself and this is one of our favourite haunts. The 3 rooms at the Cafe are well decorated and in the center of town and whilst parking is some distance away this wasnt a problem for us. Expect some late evening noise but this tends to not last too long.... More

I've now stayed at Rick Stein's Cafe twice, first two years ago in "Fennel", and most recently in May this year when I chose "Thrift". Both rooms are very comfortable, well equipped, and tastefully furnished. Both also overlook the quiet street at the front of the Cafe and provide a great night's sleep. You get given a key to the... We spent one night in the Fennel room, followed by Breakfast. The quality of the B@B is a real credit to Jill and Rick. All the attention to the finer details is so obvious, from the decor to the linens, body wash, teas and coffees etc. The bed was the ultimate in comfort. Breakfast in the morning was generous and... We had booked the Seafood Restaurant but chose the Cafe instead as we had a young one with us.... We were lucky to find a table on a Sunday and the welcome was warm and genuine as was the service throughout. The menu was short and varied and ticked all the flavour boxes with Indian and Malaysian and New World... More

We stayed in the Fennel Room. It was smartly decorated and well presented. There were a range of teas and a well stocked mini bar (not included in the B & B price). The bed was comfortable. The B & B is located a short distance from the harbour and a wide range of pubs restaurants and shops. The noises... More

We stayed in the Fennel room for 3 nights this April which faces the front with 2 sash windows over the street. The bed was comfortable, the shower-room well designed and the overall feel was bright, clean and cosy. The one downside is that the original single glazed windows have no sound proofing qualities so be prepared for early rises... More

We stayed at the café at the end of February on a "winter deal" for my birthday treat. This is our third stay in the Courtyard room and we love it. The winter deal included breakfast at the café, an evening meal at the Bistro and an evening meal at the Seafood Restaurant. We felt it was good value for... More

We stayed in the Courtyard room for 1 night. The room was almost a little 'basic' for a £150 a night room, maybe a little overrated because of Rick Steins name above the door? We had a bath in our bathroom with a hand held shower head but no actual upright shower which was a bit disappointing for the price... More
