Absolutely lovely food served here. We visited twice in a week's stay from Tintagel. We enjoyed a divine fish platter the first time we came along with our son. We came back as the service, facilities and food were so good. The Thai sea bass was to die for!!! Child friendly and clean. Great place!!!

The room was very comfortable and clean. There was nowhere to put cosmetics and toiletries in the bathroom We paid £140 night and breakfast included cold sliced toast cheap bacon and sausage which for the price we paid was not good value. Service very good and we did not eat there

My husband and I stumbled across this place on a pretty wet and dismal Saturday afternoon. We choose their Seafood Platter and it was delicious! Scallops, King Prawns, Lemon Sole, Smoked Salmon, Soft shell crab, Calamari, Seaweed, Garlic Bread and Salad. We shared it but we could of had one each! Highly recommended.

We visited this pub again having been here in August. If you have ever visited Padstow in August you know what I mean by crowded. However this visit was mid April and the season has not really started. So one or two places were not yet open but The Old Ship was. The food was as good as our last... More

We came across this great pub with a very eclectic menu. The Thai Sea bass was one of the best dishes I have tasted in a long while. We returned 2 more times as the food was so good while staying in the local area of Padstow. Its well worth a visit.

We were a family of 6 with 2 children and 4 adults. The food wasn't great because the burgers were burnt. Two of the adults had the crab and it was very poor. The children's meals were ok, but we wouldn't visit again! Not good value.

We visited the old ship hotel over Easter, the food was great. Me and my wife opted for the seafood platter, it was presented well and tasted fantastic. We also had desert, the sticky toffee pudding and grilled pineapple with ice cream, both were excellent. The staff were both friendly and professional, if ever in padstow we highly recommend a... My wife and I weren't staying at The Old Ship but we have just eaten one of the best meals we have ever had. A Thai Seabass Stirfry, new potatoes, samphire and spicy caramelised onion drizzle. All served on the biggest plate we've ever eaten from. It was absolutely fantastic. A chat with the chef afterwards after we had voiced... More

We stopped here with our young family on a sunny trip to Padstow. The staff were ignorant and barely even acknowledged you other than to take your cash at the till. Food was rubbish. My goats cheese tart was burnt as were the potatoes with it. The children's portions were small, looked frozen and were quite expensive. I would not... More
