Every year we stay at this wonderful family hotel. Crucially children are genuinely welcome, with an indoor and outdoor pool, games room, space, tennis courts, table tennis and gardens, there's always something to do. There's even children's activities and of course surf school. With a relaxed and calm atmosphere, the bar and restaurant are perfect for chilled family evenings. And... More

I enjoyed the hotel but it is slightly over rated. I have an allergy and the staff couldn't find a suitable dish for me in all of their different places to 'enjoy a relaxing meal'. The swimming pool was cold and there was too many families for the pool to be enjoyable. However, the rooms were clean and spotless. The... More

If you are a couple, or a solo traveller, don't stay here during school holidays, as the hotel will be overrun with children. Even though we are a family with young children ourselves, we felt there were almost too many children around. As a consequence, at night time we could hear doors slamming, babies were crying elsewhere, children played football... More

As we drove-in I was somewhat disappointed by what looked more like a hospital than a hotel, very severe white concrete and metal framework, quite sterile looking. Small reception, overpowered by the smell of the connected Spa. I must say the reception staff particularly helpful and very articulate, as were the bar staff. Our room, however, can only be described... More

We stayed in a sea view suite with 2 adults and 2 children. The room was very large with bedroom, lounge and well equipped kitchenette - plenty of room for a family and larger than expected. The room was reasonably furnished (considering the price) and the massive balcony would have been great if the weather had cooperated. The audio/visual equipment... More

This was our second stay here. Although last time we had a suite, so there was much more room. The service was average and at times quite disorganised. The lift was not working by our room. There was no apology for this or help offered up the stairs with our luggage. The bar also ran out of wine and Cognac... More

I agree with quite a number of the other reviewers on here about this hotel. The St Moritz is a nice, modern, well-run hotel. Our room was a little on the small-side given the price, but looking at the prices of hotels around this part of Cornwall in August, it seems pretty typical, so it's hard to complain too much... We have stayed at the St Moritz Hotel 3 times now and have never loved a hotel more. We initially got engaged at the hotel and returned this year to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary as its the most amazing venue for a romantic weekend. The friendly staff guide you to your room, which are absolutely amazing, this time round... More

This is an excellent hotel in a sunny and quiet setting on the beautiful North Cornish coast. Close to the surfing beach at Polzeath or sailing at Rock and Padstow, the hotel also has a good range of activities with two swimming pools and a high quality spa. Our small family stayed for a week and had a really good... More

Stayed in apartment 201 for 7 nights with my wife, son and his girlfriend. Had a great week. Both the apartment and hotel were superb. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout. Apartment spacious and clean, fantastic balcony with sea views and if you want to eat in, the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of fridge and freezer space plus... More
