Pretty, central and characterful inn in the centre of Wadebridge. Flower baskets, make the place look pretty from the outside. Staying in August and weather a bit chilly, so nice there is a plug in radiator to take off evening chill. Room is well appointed and the breakfast choices are good. Would be nice to have some fruit though added... More

We stayed here as a last minute decision as fancied a couple of days in Cornwall. Room was great and at a reasonable price. Cooked breakfast was one of the best I've had. Staff were friendly and accommodating . It is a pub, so maybe not absolutely ideal for young families , but we stayed a Sunday night and had... More

A travelling group of golfers, we were puzzled by the disparity in the reviews on TA, having been recommended this hotel by the St Enedoc golf club. The first thing to occur was that the hotel tried to put through the entire bill for the group on the credit card one of us had given to secure the booking, as... More

I stayed here with my 23 year old daughter for two nights - we were booked for three - but after two sleepless nights couldn't bear to stay another - the room was clean enough and the beds comfy but the room was small and stuffy however the noise was unbearable. It felt as if we were in the bar... More

Nice old pub but room up to date and modern, no bath in my room though. Very friendly staff. Breakfast enormous. Also had lunch which was pretty good, standard pub food. Noisy still at 11pm but to be expected from town centre pub, all quiet when I woke at 3am.

Noisy, loud and unfriendly staff. Music on until 1 in the morning. No chance of breakfast as the staff were not let in until half eight. The room was clean and well presented but apart from that it was poorly managed and they need to up their game. At the momoment don't waste your money staying here!

Drove to Wadebridge especially to have Sunday lunch as menu boards outside looked inviting and it is a dog friendly pub. We chose roast beef from the carvery and it was just ok. Real problem came when we went to pay and we were charged £36 for meals which should have totalled just under £30. When we challenged the cost,... More

Parking for the hotel was a bit of a nightmare. Difficult to find and was a bit hit and miss. The family room was directly over the bar, so we heard everything until very late, not good when you have two children under three. Breakfast was very good though and the staff were very friendly.

Our first visit this year, and as always we were delighted with our spotlessly clean room and extremely friendly staff welcome. It is so convenient for the Camel trail and riverside walk, or bike hire. You would find it hard to better the quality and value of the freshly prepared food here, and the prices are very reasonable too. Not... More

Well on the plus side the staff, other than the owner, were very good and the bar food was good but overall this is a depressing, noisy place to stay. We greeted the owner with a polite 'good morning' to which he responded 'what's good about it?', and it kind of went downhill from there. Our car was blocked in... More
